I got one of my car and one of my motorcycle. If I had the one on my motorcycle earlier, it would’ve saved me some serious money because it’s got a built-in breaker on the battery. How cool also it’s got something where you can tell the status of the battery when it’s charging when it’s fully charged just great batteries and they last a lot longer and they were worth it.

I bought this battery in August of 2022.
It will not keep a charge.
I’m going to try and get a refund from the manufacturer.
I have used these batteries in a few of my vehicles.
This is the first time trying the yellow top.
Very disappointed with the battery.
I’m going to switch back to an AGM battery from the parts house brand.

bought a brand new 2024 Toyota RAV4 that immediately, (2,500 miles), started having electrical issues.
The dealership would not fix because they said I had too many accessories plugged in, (a phone, a dashcam and a radar detector – don’t figure). That and this last winter the OEM battery failed to start 3 times when the temps dipped below 0 degrees Fahrenheit.
Did my research and bought this battery. Such success that I bought one for my 23 Camry too.
rock solid. from now on I will install this in all my cars immediately

If you’ve never owned an Optima battery, choosing one will win you as a customer. They’re at least $100.00 more than most other high end batteries but you simply get what you pay for. The engineering and design behind this battery will out perform ALL others. This is my third one. Our sone has used one for at least 4 years in his drift car with no issues. Battle tested in the most extreme environment for sure!

Optima Batteries have been my first choice for a long time. I have a classic car that I have owned for 27 years. It is only on its second Optima Red Top. For some reason I have had very bad luck with the yellow top batteries. It was the only option for my 2018 Corvette. I installed it and connected it to a good battery maintainer set for AGM batteries for several hours. The battery worked well for a few days and then went completely dead. Amazon was fantastic and sent me a replacement battery. The second battery went completely dead within a couple days. I pulled the battery out of the car and put it on the maintainer just in case there was something wrong with the car. The battery would not take a charge. I gave up and switched to a standard battery. The standard battery has worked perfectly for several months.

Purchased this on 1/24/23 with delivery scheduled for 1/27/23. Morning of 1/27, I get an email from Amazon, “Shipper returning product to Amazon. Refund to be issued within 7 days”. I assume they dropped it and cracked it open. It’s now 2/6/23, and the latest from Amazon, “Refund to be issued within 7 days after receipt of product back to Amazon.” Yes, my VISA was charged. Not happy about that at all. Now, about the battery. I have used both yellow top and red top Optima batteries in all of my cars, especially my Corvettes over the years without issue. Batteries last 5 to 7 years, much better than the 2 to 3 years the OEM batteries last. The handle on this one was instrumental to an easy install on my C7 Corvette. The removal of the AC/Delco OEM battery? Not so much. After some pinched fingers and bruised knuckles, I finally was able to remove the old battery. Whomever designed the C7 battery location in the truck with nearly no room around the battery was out of their damn mind. It’s a design similar to German BMWs, Mercedes, Audi’s and more, where they don’t want you to maintain your own vehicle but instead take it to the stealership. As far as the other reviewers, about less than optimal battery life from current Mexico production batteries, I cannot comment on. I can say both my 2003 C5 Corvette and my 2012 C6 Corvette both have the Optima batteries and both are going on 7 plus years and still hold a charge and crank the cars with gusto. I ended up purchasing a new Optima from a local auto parts store and so far, am very happy. It’s putting out 14 volts and the 800 CCA kick the starter into compliance without issue. No more sluggish and slow starts like the dying AC/Delco battery.
