First time I’ve had this happen. Amazon said it would fit a 96 XJ, and so did the package it came in. But it didn’t. I did confirm with MOPAR my starter switch is stock…..so not sure where the disconnect occurred.

This works good. Only thing I don’t like was it came with a one sided key and my original was two sided cut

It fit right where it shoudl have.
I used a new sector gear too, but that got reviewed earlier.
See, the Previous owner of my Jeep was just plain stupid, he hogged out the steering column with a flat head screwdriver, destroying the lock cylinder and sector gear.
This lock cylinder fit right in with the new sector gear and worked great! unlike the guy I bought this Jeep from, GOD he was stupid…

Fit good on my 1995 jeep YJ. Only issue is it sometimes snags when I try to start. I’m guessing cause it’s new and still breaking in.
