This part is great, IF you have a drawer full of your own mounting hardware to rummage through in order to mount it to your Jeep. The parts fit just fine, and the quality seems fine. The included mounting hardware does not work with the predrilled mounting holes.

Within one day of submitting a claim with amazon, the seller contacted me to apologize for the trouble and try to correct the situation. He asked a few questions to ensure he understood the issue, and told me he’d contact Omix-Ada directly. The next day, I got an email from the seller, expalaining that Omix-Ada was going to pull the same part from their stock for a spot-check, and send me the missing/relevant hardware. I am impressed with the hastiness and desire of the seller to correct the situation.

As of 19 Mar, I still have yet to receive any hardware from Omix-Ada. Somehow, I’m not surprised.

Replacement for a CJ7 rebuild… fit nicely. Appear very solid/durable, and looks appropriate…

The product is built well, it is just not the right cover for the motor I ordered. Its probably an Amazon problem more than anything. I purchased it based on the recommendations/ other purchasers also bought… stating it was for this model motor. It was not.

This wiper motor cover was a perfect fit and it did not interfere with the proper operation of the equipment. It looks terrific and it was a great way to replace the rusted VIN plate that was already there. Only downside is that the included hardware was not the right fit for any of the holes…not one piece. That being said, I had the hardware on hand, it would probably only cost two dollars to buy at the hardware store anyway, and considering how inexpensive the purchase was, I don’t think it’s a big deal. Still a 4 out of 5 for me.

This is a metal item. Metal is good, therefore this item is good. The screws were not good, even though they were made of metal, the threads of the screws and the threaded portion of the flat thingy (also metal!) were incompatible. I suggest an inquest into this matter. Overall, the item did the job of covering up the windshield wiper motor in my 1980 Jeep CJ7. If you feel the need to remove your dash pad and cannot live with an exposed wiper motor, you should buy one of these and cover the thing up.

So it looks like a pretty decent unit. Absolutely no instructions. You would think it would be pretty straightforward. But when none of the hardware they sent with it would fit any of the screw holes., the rivets were different sizes they only gave you two so I was not sure if they were supposed to go in a different spot or are they supposed to hold the Vin plate down but none of the screws would go into the threads the one holding not line up at all but I did make it work and went and bought my own hardware
