Perfect fit easy install. Got the oil gauge on the boat reading correctly.

Save yourself some unneeded stress and don’t buy this, get a genuine Mercruiser/Quicksilver one.
So late last year I noticed the oil pressure gauge flickering at high rpms in my boat. However at low RPM it read normally. So I bought this sensor over the winter and installed it in my boat. I just dewinterized my boat a couple of weeks ago. When I fired it up, the gauge shot up to the normal pressure for a cold engine. Then I took the boat out for a spin and the flickering problem seemed to be resolved. Then, about 10 miles from my boat ramp I encountered a no wake zone and backed the engine to idle. Gauge dropped to ZERO. I had a minor panic attack, but then remembered my fuel pump has a oil pressure safety switch, and if I really had zero oil pressure my engine would shut off.
Regardless and in an abundance of caution I immediately turned around and went home. Further exploration of the problem revealed it would read 50 lbs or so if the pressure once you got over 1500 rpms, and 0 if it was below that. So it was operating more as a 40 lb switch rather than a gauge sender.
I bought a genuine Mercruiser oil pressure sender, and just returned from a successful day of boat, oil pressure read great in all conditions!

Weak resistance on old one so hooked this one up, problem solved. Two years later doing fine for my 2005 Tahoe, 4.3L mercruiser

This was a perfect fit for my 3.7l. functions as it should. seems to be made of durable material. time will tell but Highly recommend

I liked the threaded shaft to attach oil pressure sensing wire vs factory slip fit, which was damaged. Used this with ring connector on wire end. I used an aftermarket oil pressure guage.

I would rather buy this locally but the price on here was cheaper. Installed on my 1985 5.7 mercruiser and it worked.

Working good

a lot of these oil pressure sensors are junk and report random things, this one actually works great and on the cheaper side of the prices.
