Oil pan gasket fits as it should with great solid rubber material. This gasket is very similar to OEM and no fear using it on my oil pan. Doubly check your pan as this gasket worked on a D16Y engine.

The aluminum pan doesn’t need a gasket, it uses silicone.
I found out the reason why… because a gasket doesn’t fit in the tight ends at the front and rear of engine. (Where the curves are)
Even if it did work, it sits on the edge of the pan and doesn’t cover the whole pan mating surface.
This was on my Acura el. Same engine as 1.7L Honda civic
