Bought the left rear window regulator from OEG Parts for a 2002 Jeep Liberty Limited KJ Series.
Yes the product works as it should and is slightly louder than original. It is just as I have read in the reviews about many aftermarket units. It is just as loud as my mom”s 1977 Chevy Caprice. Also it moves slightly faster than the original.
Now the buts. Even though it looks like the original -it’s not. You can not exchange Original OEM Parts with this unit. The motor has 3 screws that mount it to the black transmission housing, the original has 4 screws. Also the housing that mounts to the plate and the white cable housing has a different bolt pattern as well.
My original motor and transmission housing were still good and I was hoping to reuse these parts with the aftermarket one later on. But they will not fit.
Also -I drilled 3/16″ holes on the new plate and ran cable straps thru them to hold the wires going to the motor. Don’t let the wires just hang, it may get damaged by the window. Find a way to secure the wires.
The old plate has a short wire extension with 2 plugs on it. One plug is snapped on to the original plate with 2 plastic retainer rivets. You can not re-use the old extension with this new unit. The plugs will not match. They bypassed the extension and accounted for that.
One final note: Pretty much everyone knows products from China or wherever are hit and miss. Mainly because most of them don’t have a quality assurance set up at the factory. So no inspectors or testers to double check. The rate of bad parts is 10 to 20%.
When remove or installing unit make sure that you slide it thru the rear opening on the door.
Also lubricate the open cable and the rail with a light lubricant. Such as Sil-Glyde, Petroleum Jelly or Vaseline, or Valvoline red grease. Do not use white grease or lithium white grease or anything else that is heavy or that will cake up. Do not use Lucas Oil red grease, It tends to melt away.
The main thing about the lubricant you chose is that it doesn’t freeze up the window during winter as well as helping the unit function better and faster.

7th repair on same window. This one works. Still working, yet I still use a suction cup to hold window in place. After 6 frustrating repairs, where window drops randomly into door, I’m still skeptical it may drop again, yet it functions as it should. JEEP Liberty notorious with dropping windows and poor quality plastic retainers. The best fix is a $99 METAL clip. This was in my budget, and is functioning well, even though I’m afraid to use it often. C’mon this is the 7th repair in a year!

The clip that locks the ball on the window was to big, I used the original clip from the old unit.
