No issues. Came with alignment tool and fit right in. New O-ring was tight but a little oil solved that.

I used this in my 1998 Ford Explorer and it was a perfect fit. I had to take off some things from the motor so the synchronizer could be pulled out but it was an easy job. Taking off the peripherals took about an hour total on and off but the synchronizer itself was out and in by 15 minutes. There are several ways to do the job including turning the motor until #1 cylinder is at top dead center, and I didn’t do that. Another way is to carefully mark the position of the old one, put those marks on the new one and drop it in the same way. Youtube has several good videos showing this in detail which is what I did and I strongly suggest doing that. Also, the dealership wanted about 9x as much for this part.
