Pretty affordable solution for my old boat. Works exactly as it should. No issues at all. All the connections lined up making the install a breeze.

The alternator in on 1994 Mercruiser 7.4 failed after a shop had just installed it 11 months earlier. Their warranty was for 90 days and the whole job cost right around $500. They offered to return it to their supplier for test and repair, then charge me for any failed parts. Not having very good luck with them the first time around, an unknown parts price and another 90 day warranty didn’t seem like a good bet to me. Especially since this one was under $100 and included over night shipping! I ordered in the evening and the next day it was waiting for me when i got home from work. AMESOME SHIPPING! Fingers crossed for reliability 🙂

Perfect fit. Removed old and put this right back in. Fired boat engine up and voltmeter indicated it was functioning well.

Only lasted 2 trips on the watter. And shorted out my boat fried my distributor and gagges. First one lasted about 10 days on watter. Gave it the benefit of the doubt tried it again. Worst mistake I’ve made. Spend the money get the good one.
