Ignition coil connectors tend to get brittle after years of enduring the heat of the engine. I broke one of the connectors on my 2011 Highlander when I was replacing the spark plugs, and these replacement clips are great. Perfect fit, easy to wire up, and it seems like they are very high quality. I only needed one, so I have an extra just in case.

Was much easier than what I had thought. took less than 10 minutes to remove old worn out connector and insert existing wires in this connector.

If you feel like replacing the Iridium spark plugs in your older model Toyota Camry, don’t start the job until you have these replacement coil pack plugs first. After years of engine heat and being well covered up, the original plugs basically have the same consistency as a rice cake. They will literally disintegrate in your fingers. These replacements work really well. Just make sure you put the wires in the new plugs in the same order (take a picture before you take them apart). Problem solved.

    They work very well .

While changing out the spark plugs, I broke 2 of the 4 ignition coil electrical connectors. After watching some videos online, I saw how easy it was to change these connectors out. I searched Amazon and came across these. They had good reviews and were less expensive than what my local dealership wanted, so I ordered them. 2 days later they arrived. It took me maybe 30 min total to get these installed. * Word of advice: do 1 connector at a time and take a pic of the old connector BEFORE removal (so you see which colored wire goes into which slot on the new connector). Anyway, these worked out great for me. I changed out all 4. Highly recommended!

Cures persistent error P0356 in Tundra – coil pack and plug replacement is what the Toyota Nimrods diagnosed the fault as – replaced all 8 – fault persisted. Replaced the connector on the wiring harness with this and no more intermittent code P0356 error code.

It IS a bit of a pain to replace but there are plenty of You Tube videos that show you how to do it on line.

Replacement takes about 20 minutes and a either a bit of a contortionist or a friendly octopus. All in all – in the scheme of modern automotive repairs – this is one of the easier ones.

This connector is a perfect replacement for the factory Toyota coil connector… n ot requiring any soldering or crimp/splice connectors. However the one thinbg lack is instructions….hgere’s step by step with instructions (1) take photo of you exisiting plug and wiring harness with the plug positioned so that the snap release is facing up away from the engine. Be sure the photo give you a clear reference for the color coding of the wire to follow during reassembly (2) put a clean cloth /towel under the connector to catch any debris during disassembly (3) put the plastic locking insert out from inside the connector shell by inserting a jewelers screwdrive or pick into the slot on the underside and pull out (4) now using a jewelers screwdriver or pick, break away the black plastic that surrounds the metal wire ends. The plastic will be brittle and breakaway easily…falling into your towel (once wire ends have been exposed inside the connector shell, you can gently remove the wires from the old shell by pulling them through the b ack of the shell. Don’t pull hard, they should just slide out if you got all the old plastic out in. step 4 (5) now insert the wires into the new connector shell referencing you photo for the wire order…again being sure the connector release button faces upward away from the engine (6) push the wires into the connector until you hear them click “lock” into place (7) now insert the new whitre locking riung into you assembled connectior, being sure that the slot in the white ring faces down toward the engine (8) before push your newly assembled connector onto the coil, carefully inspect the inside of the coil receptable to be sure there are no broken pieces from the old connector inside that will interfere with the new connector seating down all the way.

Quickly and easily replace the broken, brittle connectors for my fiancé’s TC. The factory connectors were so brittle that I simply pulled the connectors out of the back of the factory connector and inserted them into the new connector.

Easy fix for an inevitable problem. Heat and vibration can destroy plastic. Just move one wire at a time to eliminate mistakes. Video on will help.
