Right, so I’m here to talk about this wax spray stuff that’s apparently the Holy Grail of car coatings. Spoiler: it’s not guarded by knights who say “Ni,” but it *does* make your car shinier than a freshly polished coconut.
I bought it because it claimed to create a ceramic shield on my car. I thought, “Ceramic? Like a vase? Am I turning my Toyota into fine china?” But no, it’s more like armor for your car, which, let’s face it, is a tad more practical than a Ming Dynasty Prius.
First spray: smells oddly satisfying. Not like a car wax at all—more like something you’d find in an enchanted forest where elves are detailing wagons. Instructions say to spray and wipe, but after the first swipe, I swear I heard my car purr. Yes, my Honda is now a smug feline in the rain, droplets rolling off as if gravity no longer applies.
Now, it’s not all sunshine and sparkles. The first time I used it, I got a bit too enthusiastic and coated not just my car but my neighbour’s cat. The cat is now the glossiest thing on the street, though it has stopped speaking to me. (Well, meowing, technically.)
Durability? Impressive. A week later, my car still looks like it just rolled out the showroom. Mind you, it’s a 2008 Civic, so that’s a feat akin to making Spam look like filet mignon.

This is cracking stuff and as others have said, less is more. Over apply and it can go streaky and be difficult to buff off; a couple of sprays per panel and that’s more then enough. Once you’ve applied it and buffed it off it doesn’t leave a particularly slick feeling surface initially, but give it a few hours and it seems to fully cure and then it feels almost frictionless! I give it a week or so and then wash the car again and re-apply to give it the suggested two coats.
You can apply it after a wash but you’ll probably only get 4 weeks or so beading from it if you do this. If you prepare thoroughly before you apply it by giving the car a good wax this will remove road film which washing alone won’t touch and leave the paint nice and clean for it to adhere to. I’ve had over 4 months beading now after doing a full polish and wax before applying this.

3rd time buying this. You must apply this product out of direct sunlight otherwise it dries very quickly & you have to work to obtain its awesome and final high shine water beading repelling properties. Do not apply to the windscreen and remove any overspray with soapy water as it will cause horrendous smearing ‘you will not be able to see’ in the rain.
4 door hatchback, applied 1 – 3 sprays per panel and immediately gently buffed up with a soft cloth. I also use a Makita DPO600Z car polisher with a lambs wool polishing mop for larger areas, roof, bonnet etc. I will buy this product again.

I don’t think the price is justified by the results achieved. Any improvement is barely detectable and so I am no longer motivated to use it as often as I should. I would hesitate to buy it again at the price.
