Failed very quickly, producing a weak spark causing misfires under load. Replaced with a known good coil pack from a different brand and now my car runs well again.

I avoid any of the lower priced Chinese junk-coils. NGK is a known quality brand, the plastic is not that cheesy shiny plastic. Ford part wait was too long and this is $15 cheaper, came next day.
I have no problem it is made in Mexico, just do NOT want China. I bought NGK iRIDIUM spark plugs a while back and work great. The NGK plug wires look better than Ford too and will get those.
The coil got rid of my misfire. Original coil was 21.5 years old.

Exact fit same as oem, ten minute install including new ngk plugs and wires. All fit exactly as expected and fixed my misfire code and shudder on acceleration. Very impressed, big fan of ngk. Order with confidence.

Perfect fit for 2005 Ford Ranger XL 2.3L. Easy to install just remember a light coat of dielectric grease on both ends of the spark plug wires makes everything happy and keeps the sparks where they belong and the moisture out.
