Picked this up to use while painting guitars and motorcycles. This light has been an excellent addition to my toolbox and has made custom paint jobs all that much easier. It’s a great product, holds a charge well, plenty bright and it is simple to use.
The diffuser lens does a great job and helps minimize glare when you’re inspecting clearcoat for orange peel, blemishes, etc.

A must have for any Detailer or DIYer who is tackling paint correction and surface protection. The hand held LED light is powerful and helps to quickly spot imperfections that only bright light can expose. I appreciate the tilting head which has allowed me to illuminate nearly every spot on the car. The design allows for front pocket storage to quickly access the tool while on the detail. The battery life so far has been impressive and one charge has provided enough light power for two cars for correction and coating. If you want pro results, use the tools and techniques the pros use and this is most certainly a pro tool.

Awesome light that makes it easy to see where areas have been missed. Easy to do when working with DA polisher. Shining the light over the area I just worked on easily shows uncorrected areas or left over wax that I missed to buff out.
The rechargeable USB-C battery lasts a long time. There are 2 brightness settings but I only find value in using the brighter setting but maybe because I’m only a novice detailer. The magnet seems useful to use as an extension or to leave attached to the car when detailing in a specific area.

I’m putting together all the ingredients necessary to prep for and apply a ceramic coating on my vehicles. From a ‘Prep Spray’ which removes oils and grease, to applicator sponge blocks, clay bars, paint correction liquids, special applicator microfiber towels and more. Each vehicle has its own special needs for prep of course, and my Ford Maverick has a paint protection film vinyl layer on the hood, front bumper and front fenders. It’ll need special attention to that first.
This rechargeable light offers 4000K ‘daylight’ colored light at 500 or 1000 lumens. It can operate for up to 8 hours, according to the sellers’ listing on Amazon, the box however, states a 3-4 hour run time. I have not tested that, but it seems plausible. It also has a very highly rated ’95+’ CRI or Color Rendering Index. This has to do with how different light sources, even of equivalent brightness, can produce varying shades of the same color. The closer to natural light the source is, the more accurate the color match or appearance is. CRI 95+ may just be ‘as good as it gets’, although I am not an expert in this. This is an impressive light, to be sure.
The magnetic base offers strong attachment to any ferrous metal. It helps if the surface is not too slick when placed horizontally on a vertical surface. It slipped a bit on my refrigerator, but when placed on my car, it held steady. This will be a handy light for any engine bay work or as a work light generally. It’s small, but very bright and includes a fold-away hanger and as mentioned, the magnetic base. Construction seems stout, but I haven’t drop-tested this, ha-ha! If it had a rubberized surface, it might survive it, since it’s light enough. The diffuser is held on with small magnets too. You simply lift it off. The diffuser might pop off if this was dropped.
Bottom Line:
Perfect for detail work. Allows you to locate high and low spots and imperfections quickly, saving time and providing more accuracy. If you are serious about all aspects of your cars’ finish, then get this impressive light.

New to getting really into detailing our cars. This light humbled me – it’s exactly what I needed to see where and what I needed to improve in my process.
The diffuser helps when inside the garage really well. But also like that i can take it off when it gets darker.
While this may just be a bit extra for a diyer – i still like it because it helps me improve my process. I can see the residue and where I need to make changes.
The swivel head makes it even better to look in the lower areas of the car.

I’m not going to claim to be a expert, and I don’t have a way to actually measure lumens output, but I do have a few “Body Lights” that I keep in my bag of tricks. I use them when inspecting collector cars for quality paint.
It’s easy to use and charge. It works well enough to see fine swirl marks in metallic paint jobs. And it seems well made and durable. One issue I have is the diffuser can be dislodged and fall off if the lamp is bumped or falls.
While this light will get the job done, I don’t think it’s the best one I have, and it can be bulky to handle. I have one that was advertised at half the lumens of this one but it seems to put out brighter light. And at about the size of a deck of cards with a magnetic base and flip-out stand it’s easier to carry and handle. It has a massive single LED rather than multiple small ones.
I’m not convinced it’s the best value because my favorite Handheld and Headlamp were both more competitively priced.

I needed a second detailing light for when I do detailing at a friend’s shop and so he could have a light too. I have another detailing light from another manufacturer, but decided to try something different. This product caught my eye.
On the plus side, battery life is good and the ergonomics (the way you hold and control the light) are quite good compared to my other light. On the (somewhat) negative side, this light isn’t quite as bright even on the highest setting. Adding the diffuser just makes this more apparent. That said, it does provide enough light for most detailing situations – particularly for applying ceramic coatings.
