Rocketman83 –
Just installed on a friends 2013 Jetta today. Works perfect. Was exactly like factory one. Everything hooked up perfect n works great. He don’t have to worry about if he is going to be able to turn car off and get key out now. Great quality

Could not get a refund on defective part
Bobby –
Good!

Took a chance cause OEM is ridiculously priced. After installation, worked first time and still working today!
KG –
Took about an hour to install. Pretty easy for the most part. Works as it should. I guess we will see in time. Price is right.
Alfredo Medina –
No quedo LA pieza

Replaced a jammed up ignition on a 2012 Jetta. This fit perfectly and worked as it should. How long will it last? Who knows, but given this is the 3rd replacement I’ve put in and the genuine VW part lasted less than 3 years at this price I don’t mind replacing it more often.

This part saved me so much money!! Like the other reviews the bolts getting out ignition is prolly the hardest part! But the install was pretty simple… I bought bolts separately which cost $7 all in all took me like 45 minutes now have a brand new ignition with same keys!

Used this on a 2013 Jetta. The “ease of install” is relative to the experience of the installer. I’ve never done this kind of install before. Found some Youtube vids to show the job being done. It took a couple hours, most of which was removing the security bolts on the steering column. Otherwise not too difficult. This come with no electrical which is fine as you can just use the original wires from the old one and probably allows for the crazy low price. Overall build quality seems solid and basically the same as the OE I removed.
