Worked perfect. Direct replacement

Like several other reviewers here, my handle broke on the very first pull. The plastic slots that grab onto the hinge are much too thin and unsupported. They bend and distort until the whole thing slides off. This replacement is absolutely useless.

Cheap garbage. Installed new latches, cables and handle. Everything was good until the first trial. Snapped immediately, the part that holds the jacket/grommet while the cable is pulled.
Needless to say, spend the extra and get an OEM, or make your own.

The mounting bracket is the same. The handle is not. You cannot use the original factory handle. You have to use the one the bracket kit comes with. What they don’t show is a little washer that is one time use you have to take off to get the handle on the bracket. You can put it together without the washer. But the screw that holds the handle will not tighten all the way down. So the handle will have a little play in it. It will work, but you have to be gentle when pulling the handle to open the hood. The bracket fits perfect, just wish it was made of metal instead of plastic. That’s the part that breaks, because Ford only has one bolt that holds it and the tab the bolt goes in is not large enough to take the tension over time. I’m sure the bracket will break again.
