I did a lot of troubleshooting prior to changing the starter. This was a direct replacement and bolted right on. Works perfect.

I’ve bout the slightly cheaper starters and they were garbage. The last one wouldn’t turn the engine over fast enough to start the engine. But this one kicks ass. I don’t know how it will last but I highly recommend this one. Update. Starter lasted 33 days.

Got this to replace the old mower starter on a Briggs and Stratton 31C707 motor.
Exact Replacement to the old one and hooked right up with no issues.
Note: Also grabbed a new 4-pole solenoid for the heck of it; which you might want to do the same if you are troubleshooting.
