I have a 2007 Nissan Armada SE and this fits perfect. To bad the design of the car makes you take in intake off to change it but that has nothing to do with the product. Car starts up quickly now and the starter sounds very strong. I would recommend this starter

  2. Silenthunter

Starter dropped right in and is working excellently, advice anyone looking for auto parts to check amazon. Good parts, speedy delivery and very fair price.

  3. Lataine Brown

2005 Nissan Titan. The job to replace this starter is a bear because it is up under the intake manifold. But that’s Nissan’s fault, not this starter’s and there are excellent YouTube videos to guide you. The starter works fine. It even spins the engine noticeably faster. Very good price. I’m sure I saved myself at least $700 by doing it myself. Do buy the gasket kit and the fuel line tools they suggest. You’ll need them. The wires to this starter were the exact same length as the original ones so no worries there

This starter had good reviews overall so I ordered it as a replacement for my Nissan Titan. I noticed a couple reviews mentioning it is Chinese crap. I am not sure what they were expecting but I was overall quite impressed with the quality. Even the factory Nissan starter is manufactured in China. This starter side by side to the Nissan one is identical. Good quality castings and great fit and finish. My old starter worked ok but the gear did not always disengage well. No problem cranking just a sticky drive engagement. This new starter works great and cranks the engine over super fast compared to the original. I am a professional mechanic so when I say I am impressed I have a lot of experience behind my opinion. No complaints at all and I would buy another in a heartbeat. Hopefully it lasts 15 years no problem like my original one did. And for the guys that are worried about pulling the intake to swap the starter I have to say it is no big deal. This starter is actually much easier than many I have done on different cars. Make sure you have an intake gasket set and a fuel line release tool so you can release the fuel line from the fuel rail. Otherwise standard metric hand tools will do the job no problem. Give yourself a couple hours to do it including some time to clean gasket surfaces and the engine valley area.

  5. Code Red

Works great, decent price. I’ve been using this starter for over a year and half with no signs of it slowing down. My Armada is no longer going through batteries like it did with the OEM starter. Huge improvement.

  6. Spooner

This was the exact physical match to the original product. Inserted and cracked up the car and it worked for me. Don’t know how long it will last but if I still have access to the review and anything changes, I will report accordingly. Shipping was fast (next day following order) and no issues. So far so good!

  7. Sam

Perfect fit on 2006 Armada. Works perfectly, no issues. Starter strong, engine starts like new

  8. Angela B.

Starter works perfect. Even better than OEM.
Turns motor over faster than original. Only companies is Nissan made it difficult to access and change. Removed all injection port connections, vacuum hoses, and air intake from intake manifold just to finally access bolts manifold, which are a pain to get to the rear. When you finally do get intake off, the starter sits on top of the motor, with the two bolts butted up against the firewall! You’re going to need a large wrench to use as a cheater bar, because space is limited to access starter bolts. Reassembly is a breeze other than rear manifold bolts. Also, make
sure if you replace your gaskets, they are the same thickness. The ones Amazon suggested are thicker than OEM. Now, my 2005 Titan has an air leak somewhere and guess who has to take everything apart and replace the gaskets again. THIS GUY! 😡 But, that has nothing to do with the starter itself.
Would recommend this starter to anyone who needs it. Just allow yourself about 2-3 hrs to do the job. And get ready to curse Nissan engineers the whole time.

  9. Urbano

There’s a difference in material but as long as it works good and makes my vehicle start am happy with that! So far so good will see how it goes a year from now just installed it myself yesterday.

  10. M & E’s Pop

Spent 1.5 – 2 hours ripping apart my engine bay to get to the starter. FWIW, the air intake manifold back bolts were difficult followed by the 2 starter bolts being very difficult. After tearing through it all, the starter was not an exact fit and I had to put it all back together with the old starter. We are having the common intermittent problems with it clicking but not starting, but usually does after a few tries.

Here is the exact problem as to where it did not fit. The wiring from the solenoid and the battery cables were quite different between the OEM and aftermarket versions. First, the OEM has two bolts on the solenoid in horizontal fashion and had a connection that ran to the front of the starter, above where the starter gear turns the engine. This connection is where you connect the battery cable. In contrast, the solenoid bolt orientation is vertical as seen in the pictures and to make it fit, you must run the battery wire towards the back of this starter. Here is the problem… As with any auto manufacturer, they do not use more than they need and the battery cable cannot reach the back of the starter as it is too short. Nor are there connections to fit parts of the old starter to make it work and quite frankly, I shouldn’t have to try and MacGyver it on. The worst part is that there is no way to visually inspect the two before you get so far into it.

Seems like other QX56 owners were able to make it happen, but I am not happy as I burned a lot of time and energy and for nothing. Good luck
