    Works great. Easy install. Be sure to use HEAT SLEEVE. Purchased from O Reilly auto parts. A must. Item install next to transmission and exhaust. A must. Great fit, plug and play item. Thirty minutes from start to finish.

    My Corvette C6 had an annoying feature with a shift skip function that I found to be something I didn’t want. This unit that took less than 10 minutes to install has eliminated the frustration. Well worth the cost and was of good quality.

    I didn’t think I was really missing anything with the CAGS enabled. I’m glad I spent the few bucks to get this bypass. On my transmission (2004 Pontiac GTO 6-speed manual) the CAGS is located on the drivers side just above the pressure monitoring input and about half way up the side. I don’t have a picture of it, but when you’re under the car, the CAGS sensor is similar in look to the one on the end of this adapter (the lighter colored end). When you see that on your transmission, you’ve found it. Make sure to unplug the CAGS gently and don’t break the tab. Look at the adapter, you’ll see a tab on the end that secures the plug. There is a similar one on the CAGS plugged into your transmission – don’t break that tab.

    The kit includes some zip ties that I used to tie the adapter to the transmission using an unused bolt hole.

    It took me more time to find the CAGS on the transmission than it did to install this adapter. I did this project while I was under the car changing the oil.

    Does exactly what it’s supposed to do on my C5 Corvette. Easily plugs into the factory blue plug on the transmission and defeats the skip shift system (the light will still illuminate on the dash). No codes thrown, no issues, no need to disconnect battery, no relearning, everything is fine.
    An absolute must have for any GM 6M. Installs in minutes – raise car, get under transmission, find blue guy, pull clip off by prying clips apart from back (not a squeeze type). Place eliminator in line by plugging it in like an extender. Start car. Drive.

    No reason not to do this to your car, challenger shifts so smoothly now and doesn’t screw you up when you’re on it!!!

    I installed this on my 96 Corvette and, while it does work great, I had to shave a little bit of plastic off of the white connector to get it to clip in. Kind of hard to explain but the end of the kit’s connector is like two big C shapes and the connector on my transmission was a big C and a little c shape. Just had to use a razor blade to trim the shoulders down on one side down to get it to fit. Other than that though it works great and I’m so happy not having to shift to 4th gear in the middle of an intersection now. The light still comes on but you can shift to 2nd gear no problem.

    Another quick thing, if you’re like me and saw that one connector doesn’t have any wire leads in it, well after some thinking about it that’s actually how it’s supposed to be. I’m guessing the wiring between them just has a resistor that loops back on itself, so naturally there won’t be an actual connection there.

    Worked one day on my 5th gen Camaro and then turned the engine light on. Fault is “P080D Upshift/Skip Shift Solenoid Control Circuit.” I reset the fault and it reoccurred the next time I got the 1–>4 skip shift message on the dash. I suspect the resister burned out and is presenting an open circuit to the computer which generates the fault. Several recent 1-star reviewers seem to have the same issue. I’m not happy about having to crawl under my Camaro again to replace this…

    Update 7/7/18: Removed unit and checked resistance with ohm meter and got 0 ohms – a short circuit. Received a new one from a different manufacturer (Michigan Motorsports) and it measured 36 ohms. I installed the new one and it works fine. Skip shift is eliminated and engine light is no longer turning on.

    I needed to get rid of that ridiculous skip shift feature and this little kit for it done , installed at home on jack stands , no codes or issues after the installation, the skip shift light will still come up on the display when it’s active but the solenoid doesn’t apply at the shifter , I don’t even think about it anymore tbh , nice improvement.

    I got this for my C6 Vett while doing mods. The skip shift worked like a charm, and anyone that knows what I’m talking about, will love this. I had to raise the Vett with a lift to find it which was difficult. But once I did find it, the install was easy. One of the best things I bought for my Vett, and cheap as well.
