The size and everything was never an issue. Although, the bolt on piece was bent when I recieved like it had something heavy sitting on it. But other than that I straightened it out and got it in the car and it works perfect!

This appears to be the correct part for a 2002 Lancer, however it’s missing the temperature sensor that “should” (in my opinion) be included as it’s part of the original unit. The level sensor has the three wire prongs on the connector and the clips molded in the plastic for the temp sensor rod…. but no sensor. From my research, you cannot buy this sensor separately. So what’s the point with buying this fuel lever sensor/float without the temp sensor.

I bought this fuel level sensor to replace my defective one, and it didn’t even show up on my gas meter.

Fit and works as needed.
The unit is under the rear seat. Remove three nuts and wire connector. Lift out and replaced with new unit. Took about 15 minutes to replace.
