Great gears for a ford 8.8. Be aware that in order to install the center pin into the carrier you will have to grind one of the teeth on the gear. Otherwise you will be unable to assemble the carrier. This is true no matter what brand of gears you install in your 8.8. If you have c-clip eliminators this will not be necessary, you can assemble the carrier on the bench and install the axles afterwards.

No noise big diffrences on power

After having the Motive Gears professionally installed, the whining noise is almost unbearable. I’ve had the setup of the gears rechecked by different shops and both techs agree that the gears are set up correctly and the noise issue is the actual ring and pinion. No warranty and can’t return them.
