I ordered these because of the horror stories I had read concerning the old bushings and bolts being seized up. Of course my old ones were a nightmare to remove and unusable once I did get them removed. These new ones pressed right in and worked great.

Purchased these for a 2006 Dodge Ram 4wd. Ive replaced bushings/bearings similar to these before but never had as much difficulty removing the old ones. Rams are notorious for having bolts seized inside the bearing and mine was no exception. Had to use a sawzall to cut the old bolts off. Bushing was completely stuck inside of the lower arm but with the help of the sawzall once again and a drill and mallet it was able to be removed. Completely destroyed the old ones but there was no other way. After the control arm was lightly sanded down, a large socket and mallet helped to put it in place. Perfect fit and no need for spacers for me, (others have stated they needed to use all 4 on each strut) I ended up using 2 however.

For a product that cant be bought thru the local stores it as a good deal. Not an average tool box repair but saved me a to of money at the shop. Quality was good.

Worth replacing before installing you quick struts was really hard to replace I suggest using a torch before removing or an anti cease a couple of days before

Exactly what you need to replace the front struts on a 2006 Ram 1500. The old ones are unusable after taking them off

These work great once you get the old ones out. What a PITA to get the existing ones out. Took a hacksaw and sawzall and very carefully cut into small pieces until it came out. New ones went in fairly easy with a ball joint tool to press them in. If you are replacing your struts plan on replacing these bushings as well as both of mine were shot.

good bushing

Fit snug and had to use all the washers in order for it to tight properly. Take note that to get the old one out; it will cost you an eye. Trust me on this; I used drilling and fire for it to come off. Bolt was stuck in the existing bushing which had to be torn apart.

Absolutely required for replacing the front struts on a 2005 Dodge Dakota. BTW: the old bushings have to be burned out. DO NOT OVERHEAT THE LOWER CONTROL ARM!!!! Concentrate your torch on the bushing from the side and not by heating the control arm from above. After the rubber has burnt out, drive out the center remains of the bolt (I cut mine with a saws-all and a metal blade). Then drive out the rest of the old bushing’s housing. If it won’t budge, CAREFULLY cut the bushing’s flanged side (don’t cut or nick the control arm) and then fold the bushing in on itself. Reducing the diameter of the bushing’s housing allowed it to be pushed right out. Before installing these new ones, take a flapper wheel on a Dremel and clean up the bushing’s race inside the control arm. This will make installation much easier. DON”T SAND the control arm. The bushing has to be pressed in so beg, borrow, or buy the right tools – proper tool for the proper job.

These things didn’t even last a year. absolute junk. Yes I put them on right yes I got the right kind. But hey what can I do about it they got my money and gave some cheap aftermarket product but the description tells you it’s a better product then the oem. You spend time taking the old one off and replacing it with this overpriced cheap product . And you spend your hard-earned money to get your truck aligned and a year later the ball joint looks in horrible shape your truck alignment was a waste of your money. And now you have to buy front tires. What a great product to go down the rabbit hole with you want to waste your money buy this crap
