I got carried away by the brand. but these shock absorbers were defective from the factory, after installation they make a terrible noise, reading on the Internet there are several users who have the same problem and Monroe does not want to be held responsible. if you want my advice stay away from these shock absorbers and don’t waste your time or money

Installed fronts in 2013 Ford Escape SE at 112k miles.
Truly ready to go product! All mount & attachment points lined up precisely.
materials: gauge of spring and shock tube diameter matched Ford original part perfectly.
[ bonus- this Monroe quick strut has more gradual spring coiling with 5.5 turns total vs.
original FoMoCo part which only had 4.5 turns. Result: a more cushioned (but not overly soft) ride in my opinion. ]
Once installed, tire to wheel-well veritcal clearance increased 1/4″ from original,
probably owing to weakness in my old springs; i.e. no need for change to quick stut length.
Much improved ride; no more slamming coming from worn upper strut mount/bearings on
lesser pot holes or man hole covers. { I’ll likely increase this rating from 4 stars to 5 when I reassess
in 4-6 months }
