Fit my 2008 Mazda 3 perfectly, and the ride is noticeably better. I still had to have the old ones removed and the new ones installed by a mechanic, because it was too difficult to remove the old struts. The problem I had with removing the old struts was separating the bottom part of the strut from what it is connected to. There are a lot of videos online that make it look extremely easy to uninstall your old struts, however it is a lot more difficult that what the videos make it appear. I would suggest that unless you’re 100% confident that you know what you’re doing, or have somebody who will be helping you out that knows what they’re doing, to get these installed by a professional. Finding out in the middle of a installation that you’re not able to finish the project is not a good situation to be in, since you will then need to be able to drive your car somewhere to get the project completed. Don’t forget to you to replace your struts in pairs, and to get your car aligned afterwards, since your alignment usually changes after installing new struts. The other strut that you’ll need for the other side of your car is the Monroe 172263.

Great price. Compared to Auto parts store. My Mazda 3 ride was getting a bit choppy! Much to be expected after150.000 miles. Replace with two Monroe fronts and A-Premium rears. They work great together. Monroe rears had bad reviews. So that’s why I didn’t pair up. what a noticeable difference. Well worth every penny. Also got a front end alignment and a ball joint replacement. Drives straight down the road. And way smother. Looking forward to a long road trip.

was looking around for alternatives for front strut assemblys on my speed3 and found nothing but coilovers and $1000+ strut assemblys only which i don’t wanna drive on anymore i don’t want my back hurting anymore and feeling fatigued. After finally contemplating on getting these because of people and stores saying NO IT WON’T FIT DON’T DO IT, NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THE MAZDASPEED 3!!! People guess what IT FITS my mazdaspeed 3 perfectly NO ISSUES so if people say otherwise its BS. I bought both left and right side and it fits, rides perfectly.

Great struts no complaints..but it made the front fender clearance like a 1-1.5 inch higher…

I purchased two of these strut assemblies for my 2008 Mazda 3 (front – right and left – purchased separately). They are just as advertised. They were easy to install and fit right in with no hassle at all. However – NOTE – the center nut on the top of the spring assembly wasn’t all the way tight, so after a hundred miles or so I heard a noise. Took a bit, but I found out that that nut was loose. I tightened it and all is well. I have about 1000 miles on these struts and they’re good so far. I’d get these again – but I’d check that nut sooner!

These arrived extremely fast and the installation was easier than expected after watching a couple youtube videos. A little background the car I installed these on is a 2004 Mazda 3i with about 170k miles, and when I pressed down firmly on the left and right front of the car it would bounce about 3-4 times before stopping (bad sign). After installing both front sides the car comes back to neutral immediately after pushing down without bouncing, Even though the car is near the end of its life, this was absolutely worth the cost and the labor. As long as you have (or can borrow) a breaker bar, sockets, and a little muscle this is doable for most people.
I had help from one other person and although it took some work to get the steering knuckle off the old shock/strut and on the new one, we were able to install this and the other side quick-strut assembly in about 2-3 hours. My car now drives significantly better, much smoother and quieter now that my shocks/struts are actually absorbing the impact. On a side note, the car seems to sit a little higher now after installing these but I think that’s because it was sagging from the wear on the old shock/struts but I actually prefer the way it feels now.
