Seem like good quality shocks but in installing them they are a tad too short and did not fit my Mazda 3 ’06. Ended up getting Kyb instead.

I replaced one blown rear shock absorber on my Mazda 5 with this. I purchased 2, because the other one will not last much longer, either. The installation was as simple as it can be. I had to lower the car a bit before I was able to push the shock over the two bolts at the top – either this one is a bit shorter than the stock shocks, or they get pulled out more over time. Either way, no big deal and it drives like new. Time will show if they last longer than the stock shocks.
Update: A few months later the other shock started to leak and I replaced it as well. This time, I had problems removing the old shock because most of the oil was gone and it would not stay compressed. When extended, it can’t get pulled out. Because I did not have help and 2 hands are not enough to compress the old shock and pull it out of the wheel well at the same time, I had to improvise with a piece of wire and a screw driver. Both new shocks still work fine.

Installed these onto my 2007 Mazda 3 S 2.3l. What can I say? Installation was as to be expected, and it fit as it should. These brought the car back to factory feel, and are nice and quiet. They’re an OE replacement, so they’re doing their job well. They seem well made considering the price. For the price that Amazon sells these Monroe for, it doesn’t pay to buy the generic stuff.

Definitely an upgrade from stock, shock absorbers look very well built. Easy to install – also remember if your changing these on a mazda it is very recommended to get new shock mounts aswell because they will break before your shock does

Went in quickly and easily. Granted I had to take the passenger unit back off once I realized I forgot to move the dust shield off the old one to the new one, oops. Even with that rework on that one it was less than an hour to swap both units and be done. Way better than the utterly shot and useless ones we took off that were purely decoration at the time of removal, no dampening of anything going on anymore. These are way better than those were.

These shocks are a great economical replacement for an eight year old car with over 100,000 miles on the clock. I used them on a 2006 Mazda3 and they fit and function perfectly. I would also recommend replacing the upper shock mounts at the same time. They come out of the car as one piece, so for the minimal cost it just makes sense to replace them as well. These shocks work fine for the application and I would have no issue purchasing them again.

Car has been driven with these shocks for about 40K+ miles. Installation was not a problem and the fit is the same as the originals. I would say the ride quality remains the same so far and they feel just like the originals. I changed to these shocks because I had a leak on both of my front struts and I didn’t feel safe so I changed them all at the same time.

Worked to replace my blown out raceland struts on my 2007 Mazda 3 s, direct fit although it was much slimmer than the one replaced. However it functioned fine as a replacement and fixed the clunking noise coming from the rear end. Fast forward 1+ months and these struts are holding up still! Im slammed 3+ inches in the rear so these were never designed to withstand such an agressive spring rate. None the less great purchase, build quality is so so but they hold their own. Worst case they blow out and you replace again for less than cost of one you would buy at autozone or o reillys!
