For a Gen 5 Town and Country (2012) . Yea, these will pick of the rear a bit but to me, not enough- I think they pick up about 200-300 lbs, for normal loads. I wind up carrying loads from time to time often at night on state hwys. One issue is my head light aim is changed with the load. I wanted air shocks such that I could level it as required as I had on my old 2005 T&C. Sadly it seems Chrysler redesigned the rear end so the shocks are at an appreciable angle which makes them poor application for air shocks and no one offers them for that vehicle!
One other negative, It seems to me they have markedly less damping than the stock shocks so it fells floaty/ bouncy on undulating road surfaces.

I don’t know if Monroe is currently having quality control issues, but I just put these on and they didn’t make it two weeks before they failed (at 3:48 am). They look great and seem to work great right up to the point that they fail. Unfortunately it was 5 days after the return window as it took a few weeks to get the time to put them on. They went on easily and the idea is good, but clearly as of late June 2023, these are a hazard waiting to happen and, personally, I think a recall order needs to be issued or they are asking for a liability suit when someone gets seriously hurt.

I’ve bought those shocks to replace the rear OE original that doing some clunky noise. Got rid of the noise but novice that the rear was not tight as before. Bouncing a couple of times after hitting a small bump. But now, a little more than 3 months after the purchase, the rear end bounce like a boat on waves, it appears that the shock has lost their absorbing capability. On top of that, when I hit a crack in the pavement, the front runs over it without a problem but the rear makes it with a bang strong enough to resonate through the entire vehicle.
I was thinking of claiming them for new ones, but at the same time I don’t want to get the same weak and bad shocks anymore, neither want to replace them after three months. They are not worth the money or the work. I will spend more money again with another brand instead that’s it.
Long story short, don’t waste your money on that. They are already way too soft to begin with and they won’t last very long.

I put these on our 21012 Dodge Grand Caravan and I am happy with how well they work. I have a small utility trailer that I will use to pick up mulch and other things. With the trailer attached and two yards of mulch added to the trailer, the rear of the van did not sag at all. Recently we loaded the van up for vacation and again no sag. On top of that, the ride is not harsh even when the van is not loaded up.

Installed on 2018 grand Caravan
We live in the rust belt
It was actually easier to remove the upper reAr shock mount then it was to try and get a wrench in there.
If you have the tools and some skill both sides should not take you more than an hour.
Now the complaint from the wife is that her van feels to Boxee……….. The kids drinks spill versus before I guess they would bounce hahaha
We paid $132 delivered money well spent I’ve used the load adjustment shock absorber on many different vehicles I own depending the batch of the bushing they sometimes do squeak due to a crappy bushing

I have put 3 sets of these 58648 shocks on my Chrysler Town and Country Limited in the past 12 months. The first 2 sets, one shock in each pair leaked and failed. I already beefed up the rear springs as well as the front springs and struts with the heaviest duty I could find. I even installed Timbren heavy duty bumper stops so that the suspension could not bottom. Those strut/springs parts are found on a RAM C/V, Munroe also makes after market RAM C/V parts. , the Ram delivery vehicle that is designed for heavier load capacity. All 4 springs have an additional coil loop compared to the stock units. In spite of replacing all the springs, and the Timbren bumper stops, the load leveller shocks failed quickly. I have always associated Munroe with building good parts. I am surprised with what has occurred. I am hopeful that the third set of these is going to last better than the others. Here are the part numbers for the other parts I used. Moog 81633 rear springs; Timbren DVRRT rear suspension bumper stops; Munroe 172780R and 172780L front spring struys. I also tried Super Spring coil inserts, Part number CSS-1195. These inserts blew out within 500 miles of being installed. I returned the Super Spring inserts as they do not work at all. I hope my comments will save others some time and trouble. The Timbren parts work very well, the front end Munroe struts/springs for the RAM C/V are much firmer than the stock Chrysler units. The Moog rear springs are firmer. All I need is to get a non-defective set of 58648 rear load levellers to have the heaviest suspension you can put on a Town and Country or Caravan.
Update April 26, 2019: One shock in the most recent set has also sweated and failed. I am thinking that as this van operates in Northern Alberta and Northwest Territories in Canada, where in the winter the van sees -45 degree weather, perhaps the hydraulic seals are simply not designed for operation at this temperature. It seems that one shock in each set fails very prematurely, and failure has occurred on the left and right side. In the past I have been using this shock since 1975 on all my vehicles and it is only in the past few years that I have had any problems, and specifically with my Chrysler Town and Country. Perhaps someone at Munroe can respond to my complaint.

Went camping and noticed suspension bottoming out. Installed these coil over shocks and gained 2” in ride height in rear. Also noticed vehicle handling improved around curves with uneven road surfaced.
Took about 2 hours to complete installation using floor jack and jack stands. 2 bolts / shock and 5 lug nuts . Be prepared to use penetrating lubricant spray as bolts holding shock absorbers as typically very rusty. Spray , let soak before attempting removal.
I have 2 minivans and made this upgrade to both. Simple, fast & economical way to improve handling and ride characteristics

I installed those shocks on my 2011 Grand Caravan which was converted for rear entry wheelchair access. Rear springs were replaced for higher one to lift the rear of the van while shocks were left original. The ride was horrible, because suspension was extra hard. Every bump was a nightmare. I was blaming new heavy duty springs, but was researching the shocks too. Many people was using them for supporting the van’s rear for trailer towing but i decided to give it a try for my situation. Unbelievable. Amazing results. The ride is much softer than it was on original shocks. I solved my problem. Grate product. Thank you Sensa-Track.
