  • REDUCES SAG UNDER LOAD — Ideal for occasionally hauling or towing varying loads; heavy gauge, calibrated coil spring reduces sag when loaded up to 1,200 lbs. (capacity limited by suspension, tires and transmission; see owner’s manual)
  • EXCEPTIONAL HANDLING — Tuned specifically for each application, full-displaced valving automatically adjusts to road extremes to provide ride consistency
  • CONSISTENT RIDE — OE all-weather fluid contains special modifiers to handle extreme temperatures and PTFE-banded piston helps reduce friction between the piston and pressure tube to enhance responsiveness to changing road surfaces
  • LONGER SERVICE LIFE — Self-lubricating fluid seal retains gas and reduces excessive friction against the piston rod to help reduce premature wear while heavy-duty nitrocarburized rod delivers long life
  • IMPROVES PERFORMANCE — Nitrogen gas-charge maintains tire-to-road contact for improved ride and handling by reducing aeration and shock fade

Put them on 2002 dodge Dakota RWD. I have had the truck about 10 years so the original shocks may have been on. No problems installing them. ride is more firm which is what I wanted as I tow a 16 foot boat. does not drop down much when hooked up . i would say it raised the rear up about 1 to maybe 2 inch. did not measure before install. Rides great with no load in truck. Happy with them , wish I did this a few years ago.

I love the shops it didn’t change the ride height of my truck for more than a few hours and then it settled in the truck rides so much better everyday I have about 800 lb in the back of my truck and it used to bottom out every time I hit a bad bump now it rides perfect and when I take everything out of my truck and it’s just the truck it’s not stiff it’s comfortable amazing I would tell anybody to buy these for any vehicle they own if it is a truck

Love it! I bought my 2003 dodge dakota 2WD 4 months ago and these shocks were a huge improvement. My truck is lifted and the back was sagging too much. This lifted it about an inch or inch and a half making my truck look more leveled. Very stabile and I love that the back doesn’t sink down in bumps anymore. Very comfortable and when weight is added it keeps its height. Very easy to install. The only issue was that whoever installed the old shocks decided to tighten them too much so the brackets were bent too much so I had to bend them back in place. Other issue is there’s no detailed instructions for those who aren’t mechanically inclined. But luckily it’s common sense for me since I always do my own mechanic work.

Installed the pair on my ’01 Dodge Dakota 4.7l QC 2wd with no issues. I did have to relocate the passenger side brake line so it would not rub on the coil spring. One thing to note when installing these, you will need to support the frame and let the rear axle hang freely to get these in. I used 2 jacks stands to support the frame and my floor jack to adjust the height of the frame when I put these in, the frame had to go slightly higher to line up with the mower mount since the shocks are a bit longer than the normal shocks. Other than that, it really is not a problem to install as some other customers say it is, use your head not your brawn and make it easier on yourself. I haul heavy items in my bed and wanted it firmed up without the side to side sway that normally comes with heavy loads. It also increased the ride height about 1/2 inch from the ground to the top of the bed rails. I have been using it for the past month with no issues and no wheel hop so far. I carry anything from used appliances to loose or bagged gravel in my bed ranging anywhere from 400 lbs up to 800 lbs of weight and since I have these installed I do not worry about instability when driving with heavy loads. These are the only ones that I could find to fit my truck with coil overs and I prefer this over installing air bags.
    UPDATE: Apr 2021
Shocks are still solid and ride is great! I wanted to clarify something about my earlier post and that is when I load up my bed with bags of gravel. As the weight increases on the bed, the shocks will firm up more. There is a drop in height when I load up more than 300 lbs in the bed but as more weight is added the drop is not as much and keeps it firm, hence the name ‘load adjust’. Ride is solid and maintains drivability on the highway, I am very pleased with these shocks for their performance and cost.

Calzaron excelente en mi 01 dodge Durango, traía amortiguadores sencillos y en los vados golpeaba muy abajo en la parte de atrás !! Recién los puse y al momento trabajan excelente !! Buen precio !! Y buena calidad por bajo costo !!

These shock/springs augmented my tired leaf springs enough fr\or us to haul a trailer across the continent on my 98 Dakota. Couldn’t be happier.

I was concerned about rough riding when not under load but I was severely mistaken. My stock rear shocks were bouncy but now you only feel the front end hit a bump and then the rear just floats over (I cant stress enough the amount of improvement). If it raised my ride height in the rear it wasn’t noticeable (I was all stock pre-installation). I haven’t towed yet but they are stiffer than my stock shocks so I guarantee there will be improvement.

FYI the actual spring you can compress by hand, but the piston I believe is beefed up in stiffness. Easy to install just took jacking up on the frame to let the rear diff hang and then using a stock jack to compress the bottom of the piston into its bottom mount. Top mount was easy (of course).

They look clean (all black), are built well, and I can confidently say I haven’t gotten my money’s worth in a product on Amazon like this in years.

I bought these to replace the worn out socks on my 02 Dodge Durango. They were a perfect fit. Rear sits up higher than stock with these but that’s too be expected. The ride is a little stiffer than stock but again that is to be expected with these. They come fully extended so if you plan on installing them yourself you will need to be able to Jack the vehicle up and allow the rearend to hang freely. I recently had a 2017 4 door Chevy Silverado Hybrid on a car trailer and hooked to it to see how much the rear would sag. I could barely tell it was there. The rear only dropped a couple of inches max. The rear was around stock height with the car trailer and Chevy Truck hooked to it. If you tow things and need a good set of shocks then I would highly recommend these! They arrived on time and in new condition as expected. A+++ Seller
