Worked great to adapt a TJ airbox to my Willys. The one I received, thankfully, was all black inside and out. I was hoping it wasn’t orange on the inside like the picture. It took some effort to form over the 2” and 2.5” tubing but at least I know it won’t pop off.

Size-transition couplers like this are not that easy to find so glad when I sought one out it was readily available on Amazon.
For a few years having some aftermarket/mods on my car I had a ghetto/jerry-rigged/improvised coupler made up out of different cut OEM hoses and…a lot of tape, lol. Eventually I wanted to clean it up and make a proper connection but finding a coupler like this was none too easy. Did some measurements and found 2.25-2.5″ would be what I was after and low and behold found this high quality Mishimoto part on Amazon.
It was priced well too. I even found one in Warehouse Deals for a few bucks less and took a chance–arrived 100% as new so no issues there. Otherwise trying to find stuff like this in “speed/tuner shop” you’re probably walking out of there scratching your head of how your wallet is empty over such a small/simple part.
I needed to cut a notch in one side of the coupler as I needed the diverter blow off to come through where the coupler sat in my application, on the larger side. This was done without issue and the coupler held up fine with no issues with integrity or any possibilty of tearing in that area–i.e. it’s a well-made, quality reinforced silicone part.
Worked and fit perfectly after that with just regular hose clamps. Not much else to say, 5/5–recommended!
