I purchased two of these mounts in December 2024. I have used the one in my vehicle long enough to give some useful feedback.
-I like this “updated” version because I think the design puts less stress on the vent blades and provides more stability for the phone.
-Easy to install (5-7 min).
-Easily moved between vehicles. Good for business travel when you are renting cars.
-It will take more time to prove out but based on 30 days of use I don’t think this mount will damage the vent blades.
-There is some “vibration” (movement) of the phone during road travel. It is not enough to bother me and still quite “readable” but don’t think it will be as stable as laying your phone on a table…
-UPDATE – When installing the mount make sure you extend the bottom brace all the way down (see picture with yellow circle). This improves the stabilIty of your phone while driving. I am not sure how I missed this when I first installed the mount but I did…
-It does block the airflow where the phone sits in front of the vent (likely obvious…).
-Once installed I have not had any problems with the mount moving, make sure your connections are tight. I saw some feedback about this being a problem but did not experience it.
-The phone locking mechanism works well. I have noticed that it will occasionally not release all the way but all you have to do it push the release button.
Overall I am satisfied with this purchase and would make it again (the best test of satisfaction) and think you will be as well.

I already own 2 Miracase phone holders and use them on both drivers and passenger side in my car. I purchased them in 2020. We use them every day. Best cell phone holder ever! Miracase is so good that when they came out with a new model (this upgraded holder) I purchased one for my husband’s car. It is easy and intuitive to put together and install- clips easily to the horizontal air vents. One new feature that I really like is the fixed bottom ‘feet’ that the phone sits on doesn’t accidentally move to one side or the other. It has a ‘lock open’ feature so it’s easy to lay the phone into the holder, and then it snaps closed around my phone as it presses against a button behind the phone. Previous experience with Miracase leads me to expect it to be sturdy and long-lasting. Quality product and very helpful and respectful correspondence with the owners.
UPDATE: A year after purchasing this phone holder, the clip that holds onto the car vent broke and would no longer hold tightly. I reached out to customer service and they responded within hours with a very friendly reply, asking for details and pics. After sending them a picture and a short video of the problem, they immediately responded with a confirmation that they would be happy to send me a replacement part. They did and it works perfectly. I am so happy with this company and their GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! They epitomize care for their customer and standing behind their product.

I’m sure there are better products for me. The vent it attaches to is very easy to move. This means that when i turn left the phone sings the other way and i have to move it back towards me.

It was ok for what it was, did its job… Was hoping this would last more than 2 years 3 months, so was disappointed. the ball that held the phone facing up was starting to go (would get loose and the phone would tilt downwards) but then i asked my husband to take my phone out of the car, and the next time I got in the car the squeeze mechanism got stuck in the open position so I couldn’t secure my phone in there, and when i went to fix it the whole thing snapped off of the part that hooks it onto the air vent. I’m wondering if it was affected by the heat after all that time, like if any of the parts melted? it didn’t look like it but I wouldn’t be surprised. it wasn’t super hot that day, it just happened and it is cooling down here (~80 deg farenheit). I also didn’t love that it blocked the AC coming from the one vent it was clipped onto, but it did what it needed to do, hold my phone up so I could see it for the map while I was driving, for 2+ years. I might look for a different kind moving forward in case I run into the same issues. but it was fine while it was working.
