This belt does not work properly for a 2013 Kia Optima SXL this is for the 2.0 Turbo Engine.
I would have to say in my history of repairing cars over 25 years, this is the first time I am not satisfied with a gates Belt.
The problem with this belt was that I would squeak constantly. The only thing that would quiet this belt was adding silicon tire shine spray, which is a lubricant. If I were to Use Belt Conditioner spray the squeaking would get worst. Note: add silicon spray would only last about a week before I had to re apply.
The reason why I gave this belt 1 star, is because I could not give it a 0. This belt forced me to waste a lot of money replacing Tensioner, and Idler pullers thinking that they had issues, plus around 4 trips to the mechanics to have it checked.
Note: The first Replacement belt I used was Dayco, and it did the same problem around 2 month of use, had to replace it, so I decided to pay a bit more and go with a brand that has never failed me. so I purchase this Gates belt from here. In 3 weeks I would notice this belt would squeak in cold and when it got hot it worked fine. The problem with this was as time progresses this belt continued to get worst until it would squeak always. At this point I decided to change a idler Pulley for a second time thinking that the problem could be the Idler puller I purchased from Dayco was effective (I knew it was a bit smaller then OEM). So now I am replacing the Idler Puller for OEM, and Decided that I should also change the Tensioner for a OEM as well. These parts are very expensive OEM from KIA directly.
Once I replaced these Pulleys I noticed that the Belt sounded even more, the problem got worst!… So finally I tested using a lubricant and it improved the issue, temporarily; it worked for a few weeks.
Finally I purchased a OEM Belt from Kia, and the problem was fixed.
Note: the top part of the belt of the Gates and Dayco as smooth. VS the OEM KIA Belt which is textured!… I believe the texture part of the Belt s what eliminates any noise from being created.

I installed this on a 2003 SVT Focus along with a new Gates idler pulley (36200) and a Gates tensioner (38188). This belt fit exactly like the OEM belt that was removed. Before installing the belt I inspected it thoroughly and it felt like it was made of a nice, high-quality rubber. Overall, I’ve put ~1k miles on this since the time of installation and am very happy with my purchase. No squeaking, slipping, or other issues with it.

On Amazon, it says this belt is not compatible with 2001 Ford Focus ZTS ZTech 2.0L MFI DOHC 4cyl.
However, the belt that came off the car when the idler pulley locked up, had this number on it.
This belt went right on with no problems what so ever.
