I actually through they were smaller than specified. It says 5/8”, but the opening is really about an inch. I guess I misinterpreted the dimension. In any case, I was able to fit them on the battery terminals instead of the intended locations. I fitted them without having to remove the terminal itself. So it turned out to be good after all. They are a little pricey though considering it’s just a little piece of rubber, which is why I gave it a 4 star rating.

I used the MGI SpeedWare 5/8″ red boot cover specifically for my alternator generator cable port, and it worked perfectly! The cover fits snugly on the 5/8″ stud, adding a layer of safety to the connection point and protecting it from accidental contact or debris. The durable, flexible material made installation easy, and it stays securely in place.
The color coding also helps me quickly identify connections, which is a nice bonus. If you need a reliable, protective cover for alternator or similar connections, this is a great choice. Highly recommended for adding safety and durability to exposed connections!

These fit over my terminals very nicely. I have a Optoma yellow top battery and these were used to cover the side post terminals.

I had an upgrade to a lithium battery done on my golf cart and they left both terminals wide open underneath the seat that could easily cause a short and or harm. These fit perfectly over the connecting lugs.

I got these to replace the two OEM boots on the Denso starter on my 1998 tacoma 4WD 3.6L V6 5VZ-FE, part #28100-07010.
This particular starter has two boots; one for the connector on the main starter wire from the battery, and one for the connector that goes on the short wire between the solenoid housing & the main starter housing connector.
After slightly trimming back the tapered ends on the boots, they fit perfectly for these applications.

Theses arrived well packaged and undamaged. The rubber is nice and seems heavy duty. I had to slightly modify these because I’m using 1/0 wire with both braided and split loom on the wire. Also because of wire routing and terminal this is ment to protect isn’t perpendicular to the terminal stud.
