A nerd –
Installed a double din (Alpine wlx-650) stereo for my 2002 Volvo v70 XC. Was going to try to wire it without. Not a good idea, as the wires aren’t labelled and are hard to identify. Spent the extra $20 and got this, made it a TON easier. After about 20 minutes of soldering, it was plug and play.
LGC –
Easy install, high quality cable and connectors. Good for price.

Was a bit lost on why i had 2 connectors when my radio only used one, but then i saw a grey factory connector hiding. I disconnected that , and wired up my aftermarket radio hoping for everything to work. It looks and works better than the factory stereo!
I used 99-9229G for the housing
And had to use an antena adapter.
Danielle –
Worked very well with my new aftermarket stereo unit

Works like a champ. Solder to the HU harness and install. Clear instructions on wire diagram. Easy.

Exactly what I needed to properly wire up my new used 2001 Volvo V40. The speakers would go in and out with the bumps in the road. Discovered previous owner spliced into stock radio harness by wrapping the aftermarket radio harness wire around the stock radio wire and taping it.. Luckily it was a clean splice and the stock radio harness plugs were left intact on the harness. I soldered the aftermarket radio wiring harness to this harness which makes for a solid connection.

This harness works perfectly on a 2005 Volvo v70, HC405 radio.

we got a new Boss stereo to switch out the old school keset player it came with. we used this and It works great on our 2001 volvo.

This wiring harness is what you need to set up your old Volvo with a new stereo, but you might need another part.
Volvo factory stereos output bass signals to a built-in amp using what’s known as a 6-pin DIN connector. There are separate inputs for front and rear bass signal. Your new stereo probably outputs bass through a set of two or four RCA jacks on it’s back. An adapter will allow you to send this signal to the factory amp, otherwise your new stereo will sound pretty tinny. Look here on Amazon for “volvo 6 pin-din” or google it.
Note also that although Amazon will tell you that this part doesn’t fit a 2003 V40, it fit mine. YMMV. Check the back of your factory stereo before you order anything.

Does not work with fiberoptic
