To be clear, I haven’t polished a car in years. Add to that it’s a black car. Yet still, the photo is partially through the ultimate compound and it’s that crisp clean and like a mirror. My cars paint wasn’t in bad shape so I thought then I saw that. One issue I have is that there’s no instructions included. And someone who doesn’t know the trade I’m sure the terms was and polish are used interchangeably. And me myself, I know there’s polish compound and now compound compound lol. It seems like it could be a little more aggressive but it gets the job done

I bought a used Jeep Wrangler with black exterior that was obviously sent through the car wash many times. I bought the Meguiar’s set to compound, polish, then wax the paint and I was impressed. I got so much of the swirl marks to disappear the first treatment and with each treatment (I’m going monthly) I’ll get all the swirl marks to disappear in 3 months AND it erased a lot of the small scratches AND I saved myself $300 if a professional detailer did it. Highly recommend this product especially if you love to detail your own vehicles like I do.

This kit did wonders for my 10 year old Camry. The car spent most it’s life in the California sun and had 195,000mi of wear and tear. I did everything manually because I didn’t know how much the compound would cut, and next time I think I’ll use a power tool as I wasn’t able to get some scratches out of the truck lid (bike rack?) and a couple other spots. Took about 6 hours by hand, and went from dull and weathered to a nice clear shine that really made me happy.

Dont wash the black towels with the yellow towels. the black color will run and stain your yellow towels. Best to wash separately by color. it was easy to use the compound . Compound does take off paint from your vehicle.. I don’t think i used the wax correctly though. i didnt let it sit long enough before wiping it off.
