I used this as instructed on my 2012 Infiniti FX and it was amazing with the results. The Correcting compound was only needed on a few areas that had some significant swirls and removed them with the typical 6 section passes. When I changed pads and added the wax I can only say one thing, “Glass”. It worked better than advertised for me and I would recommend it to anyone with mild to heavy swirls. Easy on and easy off. The plus is you don’t need a direct drive buffer to remove all but the deepest defects. A good DA polisher will do the trick. I used a Dewalt 443 6″ DA Buffer/Polisher and it worked great. For the price you will be hard pressed to find a kit with all the goodies this one has. A nice set of instructions are included also.

Used on the wifes 2009 Mazda CX-7 and it did the trick there also. No swirls or hazing. I had to correct the whole car this time and it got rid of all the swirls. The wax gave it depth and pop. So there’s another car that passes the test. As I said before, simple and easy to use. Follow the instructions and even us weekend warriors will have pro style results.

This product worked very well for me. I purchased this kit and Meguiar’s MT300 Pro Power DA Polisher to apply it. It was purchased to attempt to correct a 9-year old, weathered and damaged metallic black with clearcoat finish. I hoped to correct the following: 1) Faded paint with swirls, 2) heavy well-water spots, 3) etched insect damage.
After multiple washes and clay bar treatment (Mequiar’s clay bar), I polished the car with the compound. I could see immediate improvement in the paint and removal of the spots. I completed the car with the compound, then followed with the finishing wax. The paint looks great, with the swirls removed. The water spots are gone. I had tried multiple chemical treatment to no avail on these spots on the paint earlier. The insect damage is less and smoother, but actually more noticeable against the otherwise, smooth bright paint. Similarly, the stone chips on the hood are more pronounced. I did not expect a miracle with the heavy insect damage. These will likely require wet-sanding down near the basecoat and re-polishing. The highlight of the stone chips seems to be just an artifact of the much cleaner looking paint surrounding them.
Overall I am happy with the results. The product performed quite well. I highly recommend it to try on weathered paint, and even water spotted paint. The MT300 polisher performed excellently as well. Both products are highly recommended, as are Mequiar’s products in general.

I’ll be honest: Other than a few truly new innovations like clay bar, and spray-on touch-up wax, I thought paint protection and restoration technology had made only minor improvements since the 60s.
Well, Mequiar’s has done it again.
About 3 years ago I stocked up on full-sized Meguiar’s compounds necessary to keep my non-clear-coated Dakar Yellow ’95 BMW M3 protected from the elements, as I don’t have a garage, and butter-yellow enable finish is already one of the most oxidize-prone colors out there (next to perhaps Henna Red). I had it all: clay bars, a gallon of Last Touch detailer, ScratchX deep restoration compound, SwirlX restoration process swirl remover, ColorX paint cleaner/polish, Mirror Glaze #7, PlastX plastic polish (for the plastic headlamp covers), Techwax wax, and Ultimate Detailer spray-on touch-up wax.
I was over at a friend’s house at a group car detailing Sunday and when I pulled out my box of stuff, my friend threw the brakes on and said “oh you have to try the newest generation of stuff – it blows these out of the water!” I then proceeded to use the products directly in this kit, and became more astounded at the continued R&D of Meguiar’s with every rotation of the Porter Cable 7424X DA orbiter I was applying this stuff with.
I could wax poetic (pun always intended) about the advancement of these paint maintenance products for pages and pages, but take it from someone who owns both oxidize-prone non-clear-coated enamel-painted cars (original paint pushing 20 years now) and new clear-coated models, and this newest Meguiar’s kit provides a level of mirror-like final finish quality and lasting water and UV barrier protection that none of the products from a few years ago could dream of, and it does it at a reduced number of applicator steps.
Do yourself a favor and purchase this kit and the Porter Cable 7424XP DA or the Griot’s Garage DA (depending on your style choice, they are both fine units) and prepare to be amazed.

Purchased this to go on my Porter Cable 7346 and it was a perfect fit, the 7346 has plenty of power to spin this even on the worst paint surfaces. I used it to wax my truck this weekend and was delighted with the results. If you believe you are going to get show quality results with minimal time AND effort no kit will deliver that. This kit however gives you the tools to produce a show quality polish and wax job (although it does not include a clay bar or microfiber wax and polish removal). I would also advise if you own a larger vehicle to make sure you purchase the pad care brush and even extra cut and finish pads so you have plenty of depth to your line up.
This kit took out the light scratches, water marks and oxidation that has accumulated over the last 1.5 years. It will not remove the deeper scratches, you will need to purchase a more aggressive polishing compound.
Summery: Great product and delivers quality. Easy off wax, polish takes some work but looks great when it’s all said and done. Make sure you buy extra pads and/or a pad conditioning brush.
