I’m not a fan of the mounting bolt being a lose piece from the plate. The bolt head has no way of holding it still as you mount the plate and try to tighten. Awkward and difficult. It doesn’t instill confidence that it will all hold together during use. I don’t recommend it.

Nice backer plate. Picked this up as an extra back plate for my cheap Hobo Freight orbital polisher. I dont detail my car often, but its nice as a back up. Quality seems better than what came with the HF version. I like it.

This DA backing plate is a solid piece of gear for anyone serious about detailing. I’ve been using it with my high-speed DA polisher, and it performs exactly as advertised. The build feels very durable and heavy-duty, and I can tell it’s going to hold up for a long time, even with regular use.
I really like the hook and loop system – pads stick securely and stay balanced during use, but still peel off easily when it’s time to swap. The tapered edge is a smart touch too, helping prevent accidental contact with the paint when I’m working at angles.

This backing plate has been a great addition to my detailing setup. It threads cleanly onto my DA polisher and holds firm without wobble, even at higher speeds (no issues up to 12,000 OPM). The hook-and-loop system grabs foam pads securely and releases just as easily when it’s time to swap. No slipping during use.
The 8-vent hole design does help reduce heat buildup, which is important when doing extended correction work. I’ve used it with multiple brands of 6″ pads for polishing and light compounding, and it’s worked flawlessly every time.
Feels durable and well-balanced—especially for the price. If you’re looking for a backup or replacement plate for polishing, sanding, or finishing work, this one does the job just as well as higher-priced alternatives.

This is a very well-balanced and vented 6” backing pad with a good number of vents and solid build quality. It keeps the vibration level down much more than the standard cheap backing pad I got with my HF Bauer DA polished and for the cost you just can’t go wrong — it’s built to last!
I love that it’s got a solid feel to it and substantial when on the polisher, making my hand more steady with less chance for error or over polishing/burning any one area. Easy to install, looks like it’ll last a long time, even with weekly/daily use, and definitely an upgrade over the stock backing pad that came with my polisher (which was super cheap and flimsy by comparison).
I got mine through the Amazon Vine program but when the time comes I’m picking up another set of these because they are an amazing value for the current going price. I’ve always believed that if you take care of your tools, they’ll take care of you — and this upgrade is definitely worth it, giving life to an old polisher that didn’t come with something this nice from the factory… don’t hesitate at the current price!
