Kermit Midthun –
Bolted onto the FD60 engine okay but the electrical prongs had to be clipped to fit onto the original wiring harness. The plug wire was visibly cheap and didn’t plug onto the plug tip at all so I twisted off the plug wire and twisted on the old one. Engine runs fine now. The plug wire is plugged onto the coil and can be pulled off.

The spark plug leads were longer than needed. The plug terminals did not fit the spark plugs. I will attempt to use them by shortening the leads and using the correct terminals.

I bought 2 of these and replaced both of my OEM coils on my JD 425 rider. The new coils do work, but there are a few issues.
First, the blade connectors are reversed from the OEM. This didn’t really cause an issue on my mower, since there was just enough slack in the wires to switch their positions.
Second, the wire going to the spark plug connector is considerably longer than OEM – enough that it needs to be zip tied out of the way.
Finally, the spark plug connector does not snap onto the spark plug correctly. It requires removal of the terminal cap, and slides onto the threaded terminal stud.
All of this said, once I worked through the differences and got them installed, the coils seem to be working fine. I’ve only run the mower a few minutes since replacing them, but so far it’s running like it should.

I wrote a message to the supplier and asked them to send me the correct spark plug connector and I would change it out. NO RESPONSE. I installed the old connector on this one but will have to find a replacement I guess. It was advertised for a John Deere F911 mower, never stated the spark plug connection was a screw.. so it will not fit that mower

My engine went off on a cylinder. These coils work but the terminals are on the wrong end making me reroute the primary leads. The high tension lead came off at a different position. On the one cylinder this was fine, but on the other cylinder it interfered with the block. Had to space it out with several washers. Not correct, but it got the job done. Engine is running great now.
