The Mann filters are made Germany and frequently recommended as an oe replacement for cars such as my 1989 911. I removed the previous mahle filter for a comparison and from a purely observational inspection, the mahle was the better constructed. More oil inlets, additional hardware internally, and overall heavier. Does it work the same and filter as well? Perhaps

This was advertised to fit my 1987 Porsche 911. IT DOES NOT.
