says it fits my E65, but that big o-ring did not fit snugly in the oil fiter cap housing causing oil to leak all over the place. The oil filter itself does fit, but the large O-ring does not causing oil leak. I ended up going to bmw dealer and buy a regular filter. Waste of time. If you have a 2005 745i, don’t waste your time cause you will leak oil and have to redo the job properly.

I decided to try saving some money by changing the oil myself in my 2004 545 BMW. This filter was about half the price of what the auto shop wanted for their brand. It fit perfectly and I had no problems with it.

It’s an oil filter, so it fit and worked so no complaints. The large rubber o-ring seemed a bit larger than it should, but it worked and no leaks.

It works with my wife’s BMW 645ci convertible, n62 engine, E64 body style, and manufactured in June of 2004. Don’t forget to change out all of the expansion rights and oil rings. As you know, BMW’s leak like the SR-71 Blackbird when not in flight.
