Perfect fit for my 2012 Mercedes C250, although there is a soft plastic tag on the upper side which my OEM filter did not have; however, that didn’t present any problems with installation. It would be nice if this came in an airtight sealed plastic bag as activated carbon is known to degrade through absorption of odors if exposed to air for any lengthy period (which is why replacement every year is recommended) and this item was not dated, at least as far as I could see, so there is no way to determine how long it was exposed. The construction is sturdy and this is a well-made product. However, be prepared for a twisted back and a bit of cussing during installation which will probably take longer than the advertised “24 minutes.” There are plenty of on-line videos of installation procedures, but it’s not quite as easy and quick as some of those make it out to be. Other than a T20 Torx bit, I’d suggest a flashlight, gloves, and two flat blade screwdrivers; there are some sharp pieces of metal and plastic you’re going to have to negotiate and a metal clip (on the outbound side) that needs to pop off, which is where one of the flat bladed screwdrivers will needed. There is a sliding white plastic piece that is quite snugly fit in place and you need to move inward to replace the old filter and then outward to refit the new filter; I found using one screwdriver to push up on the housing and using the other to push this plastic piece firmly up into the housing necessary as this fits over tabs, otherwise a lot of cussing will ensue while you’re fiddling around in the dark under the glove box recess, which is where the flashlight comes in handy to see what you’re doing. And, make sure the arrow embossed on the underside of the filter points to the outside of the vehicle. All told, this took me about 35-40 minutes to change. I can see why most dealers charge about $100 in labor to replace one of these, but if you are even a bit handy you shouldn’t have too many problems and will certainly save some coin. But have some aspirin handy for your sore back after you’re done.

This is the brand which you can trust. Never disappointed. Very good quality. It is worth the money.

Not an EXACT replacement for the OEM, as the OEM has the filter go from end to end and Mann has theirs stop with roughly an inch or so of rubber filling the rest of the way.
We’ll see how it performs and lasts, but for the price and it actually fitting when compared to the cheaper option on here, it’s not a bad deal.

Exact fit for Mercedes C class.

I have a w212 e350; changing the cabin air filter is an easy job, do I planned to do that. I bought a Mercedes branded filter and shockingly, the fit was a bit off. I then bought this Mann filter; I know Mann makes filters for MB. The filter fit perfectly – an easy job done in under a half hour.

I replaced the activated carbon cabin filter on my Mercedes SL550 today at 16,000 mile, this CUK 29005 was a perfect fit and identical to the original one I removed which was also a Mann CUK 29005. The filter is located under the panel beneath the glove box. Here is how to do it:
Pull back the passenger carpet under the dash, fold it back and lay on floor, unscrew the two torx screws ( Torx25) on the front edge of the panel ( I understand other Models may have three screws, mine has two and a friction snap in the center. Pull it down gently, and slide the right side down first, it is fiddly, you will have to gently bend the panel on the right side. If you did not pull the carpet down first, back up and do in now.
I had three wires to disconnect on the back of the panel, the light, a temperature sensor and a power socket. See photo for the back side of the panel with wires and connections illustrated in yellow, the left screw location and center snap are circled in red. Once the wires are disconnected remove the panel.
With panel removed you can see the filter in the second photo circled in yellow, unclip the silver clip (green arrow) and slide the white retainer piece to right (shown by red arrow). This slide may be a little sticky, mine was. Pull the filter down once the slide is moved (it is okay to remove the white slide if it falls off). Reverse the procedure to install the new filter, other reviews said they had to use the old white retainer the new one did not fit, mine worked fine. It was challenging to slide in position to the left, a tight fit and you have to make sure the filter is up tight to the filter housing. Take your time, and if you can do this with lots of daylight it makes the job easier.
I also replaced the two engine air filters with Mann C3397, it was also the same case the OEM filter and a perfect fit, remember to order two of these engine air filters if you have the V8 twin turbo. You only need one cabin filter.

This filter is great, easy to install, and costs a fraction of what the dealer will charge. The only difference I noticed is that this filter does not carry the Mercedes-Benz logo. Tools Required: Size 20 Torx head screwdriver and a Flat Screwdriver to Remove the small metal clip holding the filter in place. Remove three torx screws under glove box, unhook light, remove panel, remove metal clip, slide filter to the left (toward driver side), and pull old filter down. To install do everything in reverse order. Took me less than 10 minutes.
+ Installs in about 5-10 minutes
+ Direct Replacement
+ Small Booklet with Images of Exactly How to Install
+ Noticeable Difference, No Longer Have a Musty Smell from A/C
+ Price
+ High Quality
_Bottom Line_ Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend. I treat my Benz with the utmost care because well…its a Mercedes. But certain things can be completed by the average Do-It-Yourself person while saving hundreds of dollars. I also ordered the engine air filters Mann-Filter C 3698-2 Air Filter (Set of 2) to replace the two, yes two, engine air filters myself. The cabin filter and engine air filters are generally part of the A or B service but why pay so much more for the same product by having the dealer install it? I will be sticking with Mann filters from now on. Easy 5 Stars!
