It fits and functions. It does not snap into the bottom of the canister the way BMW specifies like the MAHLE filters do, but it is held in the proper position by the tops of the snaps.

Filter packaging came demolished, but that is not at the fault of the seller more-so amazon. I ordered this filter for a 2014 BMW M6. The OE brand would be a Mahle filter for this car, but having several BMW N55 equipped cars, the OE manufacturer for those vehicles was Mann. I never had an issue with them before. The filter fits absolutely fine. No difference than the OE brand; Mahle equivalent, however the crush washer that came with the filter was way too big. Luckily I have several new Mann filters at home and took a crush washer from one of them which was the same size as the M6 oil drain plugs crush washer that came out. Other than the crush washer, everything fit fine. I would not order this filter again for the vehicle to avoid any oil leaks in case I didn’t have a new crush washer to replace.
