This cap should seat snugly on the distributor but it’s loose and allows dust inside. Don’t buy a Mallory distributor because the replacement parts are poor quality now.
Edit: I have to clean my distributor about every two months to get all the dust out because the cap is loose and there’s no kind of seal/gasket. Garbage products. Don’t buy Mallory distributors.

This new cap helped resolve my cylinder 1 misfire in my 1969 Corvette with an aftermarket MSD HEI ignition setup. Installation was quick, and the fitment was perfect.

Feels a lot cheaper and less durable then the original that had been damaged.
I guess that’s what we get now since MSD owns Mallory…inferior stuff so we run MSD…wich also not that amazing…
