Used it to replace the low quality connection on a portable tire compressor. Great value, Like the diode that tells you the unit is connected. Have the additional length makes it much easier to reach my trailer tires from the truck. I would buy it again if I needed one.

I bought this plug to replace the plug on my $20 car vac. The old plug failed because the wires were too thin, creating excess heat in the plug. This plug comes with heavy duty wires that are already welded in place, I was assured an easy repair and no more excess heat. I cut off the old plug, stripped and twisted the ends of the old car vac wires to the matching wire on the new plug, then add electrical tape. The repair cost me less than $7 and saved my car vac from the trash heap.
Quick advisory … the replacement plug is color coded: Red cord = Positive and Black Cord = Negative. Since most car appliance cords are NOT color coded, you will need to take apart the old (dead) plug in order to see which wire is positive and which is negative. Otherwise you risk burning-out your appliance. On the old appliance cord, the positive wire goes to the fuse in the middle of the old plug, which connects to the pointy terminal on the tip of the plug. The negative appliance wire goes directly to the flat spring terminal on the side of the plug.
