This detailer works good at removing water spots and other grime and leaves a very nice shiny finish. The sprayer is the weak point, it spatters and drips so there is not a good even coverage. A lot of the product is getting wasted due to the poor spray pattern and dripping so I’m considering pouring it into a different bottle. If it wasn’t for this problem it would be a 5 star product.

I have a lighter colored truck – so I don’t expect that super deep shine you would see on a darker colored car. What I do expect is something that feels slick to the touch, and has good durability. I’m still waiting to answer the durability question – but it did provide that nice slick feeling to my paint. My truck was washed – and it has been recently clay barred and waxed – but maybe a few months ago. What I found worked best with this product is the two-cloth method….apply the product with one microfiber (which gets damp during use), and then buff it off with a separate dry microfiber, which helps with any streaks. I tested it on my paint, black trim, wheels, even a portion of my windshield. And it buffed off well leaving no streaks, and no residue.
Where this product surprisingly stood out was my floor mats. I have the Tux Mats brand, which is a very popular brand. They have a slight texture to them and typically I just wipe them off with a damp rag. It works well, but they never look really really good. And any other product I’ve tried leaves a film that is slippery. I tried this Malco product and WOW! It cleaned the mats well, left a nice deep black color, and no slippery film. I didn’t think in getting a detailing spray that I would find my ideal floor mat cleaner – but hey, it works!
All in all, I think this is a really solid, multi-purpose detailing spray.

The SLIK SiO2 Spray is very user-friendly with the spray bottle it makes applications a breeze. Simply spray it onto a clean surface and wipe it down with a microfiber cloth for an even finish. And it doesn’t require extensive preparation like some other products, and I could see results almost immediately. It’s perfect for a quick detail or a more comprehensive wash and wax session. The SiO2 formulation creates a hydrophobic layer that repels water and contaminants, making it difficult for dirt and grime to stick to my car’s surface. After applying it, you’ll will notice how water beads up and rolls off, which is not only visually appealing but also helps keep cars cleaner for longer. The Malco SLIK provides a deep, glossy finish that truly enhances the color and clarity of my paint as it rejuvenates dull surfaces, making them look vibrant and freshly polished.

I have used other Malco products in the past like their EPIC series so I wanted to try out SLIK. Right when I got the package I noticed something wet and I thought it leaked. I didn’t touch it for a week but upon careful inspection I see that even the bottle cap was not on or it came off during transit. There wasnt a leak in the bottle so I was trying to figure out why it was wet.
Tried the product out on a freshly washed car and so far it was good, a little goes a long way, it does seem like it has a thicker base or has a lot of SiO2 solution, not sure if its meant more as a dry agent so it will be diluted before hand but as a topper it was a bit thicker than what im used to. After doing my entire car it does attract a lot of dust and by a lot I noticed a freshly clean hood now with a layer of dust which probably wont be as noticeable on lighter colored vehicles but mine is dark grey. Probably on the same level as Griot 3 in 1. Again you wont notice it if you have a lighter color car but that was the first thing I’ve noticed. It also has a fruit punch smell so if you’re into that. Overall its not as bad but it is on the thicker side of the product if anyone is trying to compare. My go to is TEC582 and Griot.
Rusty Metal –
I thought this might be a good ‘booster’ for my ceramic-coated cars but was very disappointed that when I received it the bottle was cracked. Note that I did not notice the crack until the product leaked all over my workbench. Also, the sprayer was broken and did not function. The product had separated during shipping, which I would not have normally considered a problem, but the bottom separated layer is what leaked out so the product was unusable. I did try on a small area what was left in the bottle and it streaked terribly and left a mess. Disappointed

This Malco Slik spray is a combination of a quick detailer and ceramic spray and it works very well.
It has the lubrication and consistency of a quick detailer, including the typical milky look. It wipes smoothly with a microfiber towel and picks up light dusting. I have not tested this with heavy dusting since it is not advertised as being able to do so, but it feels well lubricated and, in a desperate situation such as bird droppings, I would rather use this product than leave the mess if nothing else is available.
It leaves behind a finish that feels very slippery to the touch. On a well maintained black car that has been freshly washed, this leaves some light streaking when a lot of product is applied. This is easily remedied by either spraying less of the product, or buffing again with a dry microfiber towel until the streaking disappears.
It smells of sour apple candy – a fun smell and not too strong.
This bottle should last a while. Spraying too much product, due to my own misuse, on a mid-sized sedan resulted in less then 10% of the bottle consumed. One bottle should be able to last at least 10 mid size SUV’s when applied sparingly .
Remember to err on the side of using less and this should be a very pleasant product to use.
