This filter was a direct replacement for the genuine BMW unit that it succeeded in my 2012 BMW 135i. Mahle is an original equipment manufacturer like Bosch, Hella, Mann, etc; but Mahle oil and air filters are most commonly found in M cars. That’s enough for me to trust them.

I got the air filter for a 2011 bmw 335i. It does fit and works but idk if I was putting it in wrong bc it was a pretty tight fit but overall the cover does close and it does the job.

Easy to replace, OEM quality. Time will tell how long this lasts, will update if It fails before its typical lifecycle. Helped stopped hesitation/roughness on my BMW 335i due to a previous clogged filter.

Same as the original, and those used by my dealership during the three years of included service. I check mine every few months, and clean up the leaves, bugs, and other debris. I replace it every couple of years, when it starts to become obviously dusty. Not too concerned with keeping to a schedule, it depends more on how much dust I have been driving through.
