The Volcn car mount is extremely versatile. There are parts that allow it to be attached to a car vent or to be attached with a suction cup on an extendable arm. These parts of this product work exceptionally well. I ended up using the vent mount option and have quickly become so accustomed to having it that it feels frustrating when driving a different car. I use the navigation app on the phone, so having it mounted firmly and easily visible is important for safety.
The magnet is pretty strong. My iPhone 16 Pro (in a magnet friendly wallet case with a flap), stayed solidly in place for a 10 hour drive. It was all highway driving, but I also drive a lot on gravel and mountainy roads – so far it stays attached (no off-roading though).
It could be great on the passenger side, too, for mounting a device for easier viewing in a location that allows better posture.

Just got the new iPhone 16 Pro Max and needed a new charger. This charger was cost effective and came with everything you need to use either the car vent option or suction method on top of dash. I can’t speak to the suction cup strength as I used the car vent installation method. So easy to install and holds tight/ my pro max is the largest and heaviest iPhone ever made and it is very secure due to the strong magnet and sturdy clips on the air vent. Super pleased with this purchase. I recommend!
