The cable housing broke in installation and we didn’t find it until after it was completely installed, we tried to adjust and the size was also just a little short and wouldn’t adjust correctly.

The diameter is much wider than the transom housing thread hole of 1986 OMC Corbra.

Never even got to put the boat in the water. The outer sleeve became brittle and broke from the cable insert before even getting to test it. Bought in October 2022 and trash now. Good luck trying to get ahold of anyone to see about a warranty or anything like that. Just spend the extra money and get a hood one.

I broke this during install, trying to align and twist the cable and thread it into the outdrive casting with a lot of resistance in the rubber tube that this cable rests within…. even with a lot of silicone spray lube applied. Two halves of the brass are swaged together and this brass is a bit brittle for that and it broke right at the swaging.
Also, the black plastic positioning tool is poorly marked and doesn’t really reflect the correct overall length dimension to set things to before tightening the set screw.

Not sure what this was designed to fit, but it certainly wasn’t designed for my OMC. Had to waste half the summer waiting for the correct cable from somewhere else to fix my boat. I would not recommend anyone buying this!!! If I could give zero stars I would. Garbage product!

Have a problem with the thread. Takeshi a die to correct the problem and this side don’t have a good lenght. Maque a lenght modification to fit on my omc
