Great item part fit and worked just like oem

I installed this kit on a 66 Impala with a 1st generation 327, Street Warrior intake and Holley 600cfm carburetor and TH350 tranny. The cable does look short, but fit perfectly. I had to grind a small amount off the bracket to fit around castings on the intake, but otherwise, it was bolt and go. Plenty of room for adjustment and it fit under the throttle linkage perfectly. Yes, it is a little spendy, but the ease and the cleanliness of the install are worth it. Way better than the “universal fit” cables that look like scabbed together junk.

Overall package very good, but the bracket that comes with the cable is supposed to attach to the intake, but it would not work with the Edelbrock Performer Series intake I have. I had to do some modification to make it work.

I installed this on a BOPC TH350 that I mated to a 1965 Buick 300 cid (310 wildcat) and thought that it may be to short since the stock cable was a about 4 inches longer but it actually fit perfectly. The bracket sat exactly onto the driver side last 2 manifold bolts and the hinge connected at perfect length onto the edelbrock carb. Very much plug and play.

No part of this item is stainless. Took a magnet to every metal part. Misleading title it is just a stock $25 part.
