I bought this to make sure my son’s gasoline wasn’t still on while he was at school.

After filling my tank for the first time using the new cap, I screwed the cap back on and it busted in half. The top part of the cap fell on the ground. The bottom half of the cap was stuck to the top of the fuel tank inlet. When I got home, I used a pair of channel-lock pliers and was fortunate to be able to twist it off with no pieces dropping into my diesel fuel tank. Very scary! I put the old unlockable cap back on.
