I bought this for my Explorer when gas prices skyrocketed. I live in a white trash neighborhood and my neighbors would 100% steal my gas in the midst of the night if left to their own devices. Thankfully this locking gas cap has prevented any thievery from the rednecks down the road. Would buy again.

Key does not unlock it. so now it’s stuck in my truck and can’t get it off . Ridiculous gonna cost $120 for the key man to pop it .

The gas cap fits perfect and is super easy to lock.

Gas cap installs really easily. I have to take it out and put it back in every time i get gas, so nobody will have to worry about complicated installs. In terms of protection, it would stop most thieves, but don’t count on a determined thief being deterred, it’s primarily made of plastic except the key mechanism. No concern on my part though. It’s fairly sturdy plastic and anyone smart enough to know how to break the lock would hopefully be smart enough not to drill out the metal keyhole next to gasoline vapors.
The price is good too. Very satisfied.
