I use a GPS Map app on my phone any time I drive anywhere. I love this Lisen Magnetic Phone Holder.
I am very particular about phone holders in my car. Primarily, it’s about the placement of the phone holder. I want to be able to see my phone without having to look down or away from the road.
I despise the vent clips because I live in a hot climate and anything that blocks the A/C vent is an absolute no-no.
I don’t like phone holders that mount to the glass windshield or the cup holder ones either.
Finding a phone holder that will fit on my dashboard and will actually stick without requiring glues or permanent fixtures is almost impossible.
My last phone holder was great except it partially blocked the A/C vent.
Enter this new Lisen Phone Holder. It is perfect!
It comes with a metal adhesive plate and instructs you to stick it (permanently) to your dash, and then you can adhere the suction cup to the metal plate.
I didn’t want anything permanent on my dashboard, so I skipped the metal plate entirely and tried to mount the suction cup directly to my dash. It worked!
I made sure to clean all dust off my dash with distilled water and a microfiber cloth. Then, I carefully selected the spot where it should go so I wouldn’t need to remove it and reapply it. I live in the desert southwest where car temps easily reach 180°F plus. This reliable phone holder has held up through hot temps and still holds my Samsung Galaxy S10+ perfectly, without ever falling off my dashboard.
My Samsung phone case already had metal plates on it from the last magnetic phone holder I owned, and this Lisen phone holder works perfectly with those metal plates. I’ll save the metal rings that came with the Lisen for my next new phone and case.
Pros:
* I can see my phone perfectly when I drive.
* The Lisen keeps the phone up and away from my A/C vents so I still get cool air when running the A/C.
* I didn’t have to install anything permanent on my dash. If I ever sell my car, it will hopefully un-suction from the dash, and there will be no trace that there was ever a phone holder there.
Cons:
* Suggest splitting up this set and selling this phone mount and the vent clip separately, perhaps reducing the price? I don’t like being wasteful, but I have no use for the vent clip and it’s just going in the garbage.
I will definitely be purchasing another one of these for my husband’s vehicle.

So far, this replaced an older version of the same item for the Magsafe upgrade without any issues. We’ve done several long road trips including one where we had a severe imbalance on the wheels resulting in never-ending shaking inside. The mount has maintained it’s suction on the windshield and the magnetic attachment has yet to fail. the phone was bouncing a lot and this was my primary concern in going this route – would we constantly be dealing with a dropped phone in the middle of a drive?
We mounted right on the windshield due to the heavily textured nature of our dash, on the far left side a bit lower than half-way on the glass, and have had not issues with visibility otherwise.
The only downside is really that the phone gets hot in the sun. If this had integrated charging capabilities it would be a no-brainer, but it’s easy enough to plug in a cable when necessary.

I recently got this car phone holder because I got a new job that requires me to drive a 3+ hour commute every day. I live in Southern Texas, where the heat this summer has reached upwards of 113 degrees Fahrenheit outside. I can’t even imagine how hot it gets inside my car.
The phone holder works great for the most part. It’s easy to install and my phone connects to it magnetically. However, I have noticed that when I get in my car after work, the phone holder needs about 5 minutes to cool down before it will hold my phone up. The ball joint that connects the phone holder to the vent seems to get too hot and loses its flexibility. Once it cools down, it’s back to being a perfect holder.
I also wanted to mention that my sister’s phone does not hold on to the mount. She has a rubber case on her phone, and the rubber seems to interfere with the magnetic connection. So, if you have a rubber case on your phone, you may want to avoid this mount.
Overall, I’m happy with this car phone holder. It’s a great value for the price and it works well in most cases. Just be aware that it may not work as well in hot weather or if you have a rubber case on your phone.

I tested the magnet strength by attaching my phone and shaking the mount while holding on to the arm. Didn’t come loose once. I’m very happy with the strength of the connection. I’m lucky that I have a flat smooth surface right at the perfect spot on my dash. I was able to quickly and easily mount it with the suction cup and it appears to be a strong hold. I didn’t need to use the included plastic adhesive mat.

Good product but doesn’t hold up in the Texas heat. Once summer hit the adhesive wouldn’t stick to the windshield or dash board.

I had no problem installing this on my windshield and it has stayed there for over a month now. Works great and the magnet is very strong so phone doesn’t wiggle around. Highly recommend this product and brand. I had previously purchased a different style which didn’t work and wrote a simple review of it here on Amazon. The seller saw my review and sent a full refund without return! That is FANTASTIC customer service and I hope they see this review also. GREAT customer service and working product- WIN- WIN.
