Liftgate hatch support works great. It is actually better than the original. Larger shaft and cylinder. No problem installing. I will be buying all my supports from Lift Supports Depot in the future. Price was reasonable also.

Found these for my Tucson, so much cheaper than trying to go through Hyundai. Very easy to install, took less than 5 minutes. Definitely need someone with you to hold the back hatch so there’s hopefully no chance of the door coming down as you snap in the pieces.

I just propped up the door, loosened the clips with a small straight screwdriver, and pulled off the old supports. The new ones just pushed on the studs. It took about three minutes to do the repair. Works like new.

Installed easily, and what a difference it made! The liftgate actually rises by itself! At first they seemed awfully stiff. But I found out they should be stiff, because the liftgate is incredibly heavy. Good product, easy FIY project.
