It seems well made, but i just got it so time will tell. shakes easily if touched, but I have it stretched out as far as it will go, which was not easy as the neck is extremely stiff to move around!!!!! I mean its very stiff and took all my strength (older woman, but not that old) to straighten the neck out from the side table to my chair. The table clamp is a solid hold, but is very limited where it can be placed.

This cell phone holder is very sturdy. The bendable arm is very stiff, which makes it sturdy and difficult to bend into position. It is very disappointing that a clamp sized for tablets is not available.

I love thats it’s flexible and stiff at the same time so once you position it, it actually stays put! The adjustable clamp lets me mount it to just about anything as long as it’s less 3inches thick so it fits a variety of surfaces. It’s a bit heavier than I expected but it’s easy to move around and very sturdy so I’ll take it.

It was pretty solid for a year. The cable is fairly rugged and is still very strong, and the design of the clamp keeps it held to pretty much anything you could want to attach it to. Mine broke at the base of the cable where it connects to the clamp so now it rotates freely and makes it impossible to leave in a position.

Just started using it and no problems yet. I watch movies and videos in bed. Attachment to the head board is quite nice. No problems with bending in any direction so for. The phone clip or clamp is very user friendly and rotates 360 ° quite easily. I am very satisfied with this purchase. I’ll update my review in a year or so.

I bought a cheaper product previously and it was not long before it started falling apart.
This unit however, is what you should expect for more than you should expect for the money. It works great the bracket that actually holds the phone is easy to use and adjusts smoothly when angling the phone. The mounting bracket is nice and solid and for plastic gives me confidence. Nothing Beach metal but if you want to put this somewhere and not be constantly taking it off and putting it somewhere else or back on and you’re only using a phone and not some larger device it is spot on.

I actually have four of these. Two on each of the beds I spend my days working or having meetings with clients on. Since I’m unable to sit comfortably in a chair or stand for long periods of time, I have used them a lot to attend classes, do the required visits with classmates, watch a movies etc. I have two of them on each bed, one of them is rigged up as a document holder. I have to reposition the gooseneck on the one that holds my phone at 15-20 times every day, they have worked very well for that. The swivel cell phone holder makes it possible to get your phone in whatever position you want. The goosenecks are very stiff, but that’s what makes them hold your phone up over your head without any additional assistance. I have made sure not to try to bend them at a 90° angle right where they attach to the clamp, But I have not had to try that because the gooseneck is long enough that on a bed you don’t have to do any extreme angle bending of it after you get it all positioned the first time. I think they’re great, no problem with breakage, but maybe it depends on what you’re trying to get them to do…….

I knew I had a quality product on my hands when I noticed the rubber strip just in front of the clamp’s hinge. As far as I can tell, its only purpose is protecting the clamp’s spring, preventing anything from getting pinched in there. It has nothing to do with basic functionality, or with advertised features. It just makes the product better.
This isn’t one of those products where you wish the manufacturer had spent an extra nickel on better components; nor where you take it out of the packaging and realize that it was designed to just barely fulfill the letter of its features but not their spirit. You know that feeling when you get a pair of headphones and the “integrated playback controls” are a single button that recognizes various sequences of short and long presses? Or a camera that advertises 240 FPS but it turns out that it records at 30 FPS and then inserts seven extra copies of each frame?
This, by contrast, is a good product. A maximum viable product, if you will, rather than a minimum viable product. I’m very happy with it. Here are some details that you may be wondering about.
First, the clamp tension securely holds a phone without crushing it in a death grip. As shown in the photos, a phone can be placed in two positions: near the front of the clamp, and behind the second set of “teeth.” This is useful if you have – here’s detail two – a phone with a thick battery case. The first position holds a phone of average thickness perfectly, and a very thick phone very passably. If you want more peace of mind, though, you can move the phone a bit rearwards so that its front is held by the first position’s rear teeth. Those teeth may cover a tiny portion of the phone’s screen (given modern narrow bezels), but that’s part of what guarantees their secure hold.
Third, the ball joint connecting the clamp to the gooseneck is perfectly serviceable. It’s easy to tighten and loosen, easy to adjust when loose, and firm enough when tight. If you have a really heavy phone, though – or if you put one phone off to one side in the first position and another toward the opposite side in the second, like I do, because I sometimes want a miniature dual-monitor setup – it tends to sag even when hand-tight. I can’t fault it for this, because 1) that’s not a reasonable load, 2) you can just let it sag and then adjust the gooseneck a bit higher to compensate, and 3) increasing the load capacity would need a whole new design, not a simple/obvious fix. Even though it’s not a negative, it’s a good detail to know about.
Fourth, the gooseneck itself: if you’re not trying to bend it, it won’t bend. If you are trying to bend it, it will bend. Pretty much the perfect level of tension.
Fifth, the base clamp: padded jaws that won’t mar furniture, and the knob to open and close them is that entire plastic tube that extends out of the base, making it easy and comfortable to adjust.
Sixth, the stability of the whole contraption: as good as can be. The gooseneck’s rigidity means that very little wobble comes from the product itself. Mounting conditions are more important: mine is on my bed’s headboard, which extends upward without extra support – that can wobble before I even attach anything to it. One solution is to mount it at the lowest point of the headboard, but my solution (see photos) is to adjust the gooseneck so that it rests against the wall with just a bit of tension. This cuts down any wobbling to virtually nothing. Note that I have a bit of plastic around the part that contacts the wall, to minimize wear on the wall as well as on the gooseneck’s braided nylon.
If you use your phone in a desktop stand, pick up your phone (yes, now) and hold it up where you wish it could be instead of on your desk. Those of you now muttering “but I want it on my desk” are all set. The rest of you would probably benefit from this gooseneck holder.
